This was my first time using Turo and I couldn't be happier! Gor helped me out in a pinch over the 4th of July holiday. I'm so grateful for his quick response and excellent customer service. The whole process went smoothly. It didn't feel weird picking up a car from a total stranger. The car was impeccably clean and overall was kept in great condition. It was my first time driving a hybrid and I fell in love with the gas mileage and ease of driving. It felt like the car could drive itself. I felt safe, secure, and generally happy driving his car. I would 100% recommend Gor and Turo. Keep in mind the car doesn't need as much gas as a regular car. I ended up returning the car with more gas than the tank level required for return.
The car was spotless and very fuel efficient! Gor was very understanding and flexible when it came time to negotiating pick up and drop off times. The experience was smooth because he was always polite and communicative .
My first time using Turo and I had a very poor customer experience with Gor.
On the pickup: He had me waiting outside for ten minutes before he finally rolled out of bed in his boxers and came outside to assist. He never even acknowledged his tardiness. He took some pictures of the car and gave it to me with only less than a quarter tank of gas.
On the drop off: I had the car reserved until 9pm that day. He calls me the day before requesting to make the drop off earlier to not inconvenience his 4th of July travel plans because he wanted to take his hybrid car instead of his SUV for economic reasons. I agreed, and this time he was 25 minutes late! I didn't mention anything, just shook his hand and thanked him. He took a look at the car inside and noticed very little dirt on the floor mats from normal walking in and out of a car. He threatened me with a cleaning fee...I've never used Turo and didn't know but I'm not going to a carwash for his next customer, not my job. If he had communicated that to me from the pickup I would've known to keep the car for the extra 3 hours I had and take it to a carwash. He also noticed the tank was slightly less than it was when he initially handed me the car. I offered him some cash to settle it but he didn't accept. Now, he slapped me with a $15 fee to refill his tank which only should have cost less $10. He also has put in a claim for a cleaning fee which starts at $25.
I felt poached for extra money after this experience, I will never use his services again.
