NOTE: If you need a rental car to go out of town or on a vacation, an "All Electric, Plug In" car (such as this Mercedes electric drive, our white Nissan LEAF or our silver SPARK EV) is probably NOT the right car for you.
Typically, "All-electric" plug-in cars are rented by people who just need a "get around town" or "errand" car (because it can only go 90 miles between charges*).
If what you need is a "vacation" or "out of town" rental car, our 2017 and 2014 Chevy VOLT's are "range extended" (gasoline/electric hybrid) cars and will accommodate you perfectly. (And they get more than 85 MPG!)
However, if what you need to rent today is a beautiful, FAST, elegant, whisper quiet, easy to operate luxury vehicle for a hot date (or just get to and from work for a few days) and you know you'll be driving less than 90 miles a day, the Mercedes Benz B Class Electric is AMAZING. It's like driving a ROLEX watch. You'll LOVE it!
This is the very first Mercedes I've ever owned (I've always been a LEXUS fan) and now Mercedes is all time my favorite vehicle. This Mercedes is also the FASTEST, and the sportiest vehicle we have! It's powered from a TESLA powertrain! (Yes. you read that right). IT IS FAST! (Subsequently, you must be at least 25 years old to rent this vehicle).
The MERCEDES electric's biggest advantages are that it's PURE Mercedes Benz / TESLA engineering, it still has HUGE savings (because you won't spend a dime in gas) it's VERY zippy, (it's actually the fastest, most powerful car I've ever owned) it's WHISPER quiet, it's almost brand spanking new (less than 9,000 miles!) it's built like a tank so it's VERY safe -- and best of all -- I have obsessive compulsive disorder. (This means your car is ALWAYS flawlessly hand detailed, waxed and maintained. This is why my cars are the most popular TURO cars in Fresno. I BABY them.)
In my opinion, the Mercedes Electric holds the title of "World's most perfect second family car". It's unbelievably comfortable, solid, luxurious -- and because there's no gas engine, spark plugs, fuel injections systems, or transmission it will stay in the family for DECADES and probably never need anything but tires and brakes!
The Mercedes has the longest range of all our all electric plug in cars ~ and it drives, handles and accelerates like "Pure Mercedes Benz". This is my all time favorite of all five of our cars and it's the one I spend the most time in myself.
*If you utilize one of the several local, Fresno DC Fast Charging Stations, it only takes three hours to fully recharge this Mercedes. Or, if you prefer you can just do an "overnight" charge with the supplied granny charge cable that plugs into any typical 110V household outlet. That's how I charge it myself.
Our 2014 Mercedes B200 has an approximate 90 miles range under typical driving conditions.
Our 2016 Chevy Spark EV has an approximate 76 miles range under typical driving conditions.
Our 2012 Nissan LEAF SV has an approximate 52 miles range under typical driving conditions.
Our 2017 Chevrolet VOLT has an approximate 49 miles range under typical driving conditions plus an additional 400 miles of range from its gasoline engine.
Our 2014 Chevrolet VOLT has an approximate 38 miles range under typical driving conditions plus an additional 330 miles of range from its gasoline engine.
Hey! Did you know that new TURO customers can get $25 off (and the person who referred them can get a $25 travel credit) just by entering a referral code when the trip is booked? Do you need help signing up, downloading or using the TURO application? Most people do. I'm happy to help. Text me at 559-825-6896.
