**PLEASE NOTE, THIS IS A FULLY ELECTRIC VEHICLE, YOU WILL HAVE TO CHARGE IT AT CHARGING STATIONS OR YOUR GARAGE, REFUNDS WILL NOT BE GIVEN AT TIME OF PICKUP BECAUSE YOU FAILED TO READ THE WHOLE DESCRIPTION OF THE VEHICLE**
Listing my 2015 VW e-Golf fully electric vehicle.
The car has the following options
Back Up camera
HOV carpool stickers
and much more
However, due to limited range I'm putting a low daily mileage limit on the vehicle and just listing it for local rentals...more just to try the car out or if you're just driving around locally
Delivery option is there, but again due to the range of the vehicle, drop offs are limited to a 15 mile radius.
120v wall outlet charger will be provided, but keep in mind that takes 20 hours to get a full charge...car will be given to you with a full charge if advance notice is given before booking.
You can also sign up for a free charge point account for access to charging stations, some are free to charge at and some have small hourly fees. Target in fremont pacific commons has 2 hours of free charging....for every hour of charging on a fast charger, you get about 1/4 of range, which is ~ 15-25 miles depending on your driving style
Again, please note, this vehicle DOES NOT USE GAS.
I try to give the car out with a full charge, unless it's a really short notice. I expect the car returned full, but I have a 1/4 tank grace period. If vehicle is returned with 3/4 or more there's no fuel charge. If it's between 1/2 and 3/4 I charge $1, if it's between 1/4 to 1/2 I charge $2, if it's below 1/4 it's $3. Pretty nominal charges, it just to cover charging costs at the station near my office.
*Note: Fremont pickup is generally available 24 hours a day with remote check out

2015 Volkswagen e-GolfFULLY Electric VW E-Golf - READ DESCRIPTION BEFORE RENTING15525
Easy process both for pick-up and drop off of the e-Golf. Communication with ZOEB is excellent. The e-Golf was an awesome car for my daily commute from Oakland to San Jose, 74 miles round-trip, especially with the carpool stickers 😉.
Zoeb was great to work with and the car was awesome. Just remember to hit the unlock button on the key fob three times in order to disconnect the charger, otherwise it will not disconnect. All in all, great experience.
Fun car. Only problem I had was the charger lock; it took some experimenting with unlocking and opening/closing doors to get it to release. This is a known quirk of the 2015 models. Also note charging at home requires a GFCI outlet.
This is a great car at a very reasonable price. Zoeb was very easy to deal with and made the check-in and check-out process a breeze. As long as you understand the limitations and how to drive an all electric vehicle then this car is a wonderful car for you. I look forward to possibly renting from Zoeb again in the near future.
Let's start off by saying, you CAN go wrong with this car. You can be ignorant of the advantages of being a fully electric car, you can drive it around, not even aware of the lack of engine noise, vibration, jerkiness, and then ignore the generous warnings, then wonder where you're "going to charge it" - or worse, wonder where you put the gas (you don't. ever).
For me, already an EV driver, this car was absolutely amazing. On one hand, it's a "compliance car" from VW, but pushes the boundary of what such a label means. It has quick charging - the first for a "compliance" car - and it gives all the best features of the Golf to an EV platform - with power and style. Zoeb's custom wheels make this car a serious looker, one that your coworkers wouldn't really expect is an all-electric car.
It's got great range, drives very well, has AMAZING sound (Bluetooth, iPod, CD, and HD FM radio), and doesn't cost a cent in gas. If you're not equipped for or familiar with EVs, a home charging cord is included as well, though you can only expect to regain 30-45 miles of range overnight, not a full empty-to-full charge, from a regular 120V wall outlet. You can, however, use any EVgo quick charging stations (at Whole Foods and various other places) to charge up within 20 minutes or less (5 minutes if you just need a "sip" of 15 miles or so).
Overall a great car if you're familiar with EVs already, or interested in experiencing one!
I would rent again from Zoeb in a minute. In a half-minute. Not only was the car spotlessly clean and reliable, but the level of personal service Zoeb extended was like having your own private valet.
Just when I thought I wouldn't be able to rent an EV for my California trip, Zoeb and the VW E-Golf came to the rescue! Bravo!!
