We went to rent this vehicle and we were abruptly surprised to learn that there is a deposit and insurance required. Yet, we rent from individuals all the time and Turo conveniently takes out whatever fees are necessary. The owner of the car is an auto dealership and he explained that all the rules of Turo had changed. I don't think that it is Turo's rules as much as it was arbitrary with the dealer and he demanded $250 deposit on top of the rental fee taken by Turo and insurance binder that would be another $30. For that matter, I might as well go to Enterprise or Alamo. At least there, everything is consolidated into one fee with no surprises, less of a headache and better quality cars. Needless to say we did not take the car yesterday and we went home. I had to wait to this morning to cancel the trip, which actually was really me putting in the app that I am returning the car 2 days early and only having kept it for one night. If I had tried to cancel the trip yesterday, Turo would've taken a full rate for the whole three days. I would never have recovered because Turo will not reimburse. All and all for customers of Turo, I would suggest two things. One be very careful with the Instant book because the owner can still say no and it takes forever for Turo to reimburse you; and two,I would never rent from an auto dealership on Turo.
I was very satisfied renting from Ramin. The car ran just fine and I was satisfied with what I paid. I travel to San Diego 2-3 times a year and I will absolutely consider renting this again if available. Thanks Ramin!
You get what you pay for. Car was cheap, and Ramin was extremely accommodating. The tires were near bald and dry rotten, and burst and lost pressure on the highway. As the car began to overheat it started making an uncomfortable grinding noise, and check engine lights were flipping on and off the whole ride. White 2008 chevy impala. Smh. It was dirty and the fuel tank was empty upon reciept. You get what you pay for, like I said. But if I needed a cheap ride in the future, I would hit up Ramin again.
It was my first time using turo and ramin was so professional that I think I will always be using turo. His prompt replies, pick up and drop off services are second to none. The car was clean and in wonderful condition. Overall a great experience due to Ramin's professionalism. Very pleased and would strongly recommend him to anyone and everyone. Thanks
