The car was awful and completely unacceptable. The alignment was so bad that if you take your hand off the wheel for a split second, you’ll literally be in the other lane. The brakes were VERY squeaky and annoying. The entire car rattled like crazy (especially on the freeway!) and makes other random sounds all the time. The tire pressure light was on. I could go on and on... On top of that, they make you put down $250 deposit! I don’t think the car is even worth $250!! Plus, you need to fill out paperwork, and go through an entire process (with other Turo’s, I literally just show them my license and they give me the keys... definitely not like that here!).

When I picked up the vehicle, the guy I rented it from was extremely rude. He also insisted that I pay $70 dollars for insurance for 4 days, which is not only more than the rental itself but was also covered by my credit card. Luckily I figured that out myself because he was not going to let me know that himself. Then I proceeded to inspect the vehicle before driving away, finding that there was numerous stains and that the Tire pressure light was on. I looked at the tires and saw that one looked like it needed to be filled a bit so I went and did so at the nearest gas station. Upon arriving in Big Bear, a 2 1/2 hour drive later, I noticed the tire was low again. When I went to fill it I saw that there was a nail in the tire, that was definitely there before I rented it and that was why the tire pressure light was on . My plans were to drive to Joshua tree for a couple days to camp with my girlfriend but at that point we had to make a decision because of the nail in the tire. We ended up just staying around Big Bear the whole time because we didn’t want to drive out to the middle of the desert where there’s no cell phone service and without a spare tire. Upon arriving back in San Diego yesterday afternoon I decided to return the vehicle early because of the simple fact I felt unsafe driving it. Mind you, I had refilled the air in the tire multiple times at this point in order to just make it home and back to El Cajon where I rented it. I stopped about 4 miles from the rental shop to get gas and fill the tank and came out to the car having a completely flat tire. I tried calling the guy that I rented it from and he did answer or ever call me back even. I was under the belief that my credit card would cover a tow but I ended up having to pay $70 out of pocket to get the vehicle towed to the rental place and was late to work because of it. Not an enjoyable trip at all to say the least. I’m really hoping Turo or the people I rented from will return my money and the money I paid for the tow.

My five friends and I had a great experience using Turo. The service was great, there was great communication, and the car worked well.
