Wasn't a full tank as they said but I returned with full tank so I wouldn't be penalized or have to argue the fact.
I paid $45 in gas and drove 4 miles to bring it from the gas station and he wants me to pay $10 more when it was filled to the top to the F. His gas meter was off, the passenger seat belt was broken, there were cigarette holes in the seats, and dust everywhere. Not a pleasant experience after he called me saying he needed $10 to fill the tank. It doesn't take $55 to fill at all when it wasn't empty to start with.
This was the biggest nightmare ever. From Ramin throwing my Id (no joke) at me and telling me to "Get the fu$k out of his store" and his lot attendant (I recorded videos) yelling at and making my 58 year old mother feel overly uncomfortable. This is a lot that "fixes" very low quality vehicles and puts unsafe rides out there for people to drive. Low and behold, another service light was on. The vehicle doesn't shift naturally, unique smell and when you accelerate you can hear the transmission clicking. Someone is going to get stranded or worse driving this vehicle.
Pros: -The employees here are very friendly and accommodating -The shuttle service was prompt and the owner even drove us back himself to ensure we didn't miss our flight -The car got us around, no problem
Cons: -This company is located in El Cajon (about 30 minutes east of the airport), the $50 for airport delivery is for the shuttle service back and forth, NOT delivery of the car to you. -$250 is required for a deposit, there is no prior mention of this (we did get this back, no problem) -you're required to purchase insurance over the phone when you get there through "Allianz" (about $9 a day, but again, no prior mention of this) -The car was a bit beat up, steering wheel rattled the whole time.
Overall I'd rent from these guys again, the price isn't bad, I just wish I was a bit more informed before choosing them, I probably still would have had I known all of this prior.
Cars were as expected. We had an unexpected extra passenger midway through our trip and they accommodated us quickly and without hassle. Will absolutely come back to them next time I'm in the area. 10/10
Working with the guys at Best Car was a great experience. I rented a car for a day, but needed it longer - 3 additional days - they made it happen, and even helped me out with renting another when the vehicle I was renting was going to someone else! The response time to any questions was incredibly fast, and I would definitely rent from them again!

The owner cancelled this trip 1 hour before it started. This message was automatically posted by Turo.
Car had a lot of issues which prevented more than one person driving it at a time. Owner dismissed them and claimed none existed before rental, which was very cheap and dishonest thing to do. Among these issues: passenger seatbelt didn't work, airbag safety indicator always on, rear left taillight warning always on. Steering wheel shook continuously throughout the trip.. just an all over bad experience. And to top it off, they tried to charge us $25 more than daily price in Turo for extending one more day.
