2013 Ford Fiestareza's Ford154.525
Nice and easy car to drive. Great mileage and it was very clean. I do however think that the pick up and return process is a bit weird with the valet service(uber there and back) but overall great first experience.
First time using Turo and it was the worst experience. A friend and I decided to use it at the advice of another friend. It wasn't too bad until toward the end of the trip; on the second to last day I was backing out in a parking lot and another car didn't see me and hit me. The damage wasn't too bad, just a large dent to the rear left bumper (the other car was a Mercedes wagon with a metal bumper), but was in drivable condition. I had purchased basic coverage from Turo and was just thinking that I would file a claim and go through the necessary steps. I called Turo and asked for information on how to proceed and they let me know the options and that they would alert the owner. Wow, if I had known how slimy and sleazy Reza was going to be I would have never rented this car. Not only was he there waiting for us when we dropped off the car, he kept trying to get me to sort it out with him outside of Turo and to pay him cash. We told him that we would think about it and let him know since we had an Uber waiting for us and a flight to catch. He tells us to wait and then tries to go and park his car, can't find a parking spot, goes up to the rental to check out the damage, comes back and then again tries to tell us that if we give him $900 he can go to a cheap place to fix it but if we go through Turo they will make him go to the Ford dealership and that it would cost over $2000. I said that we would think about it and let him know, however we have to go catch a flight. AGAIN he mentioned just paying him $900 cash and he would fix the car with no other problems (he spoke as if we just carry around that kind of cash...). After about 15 minutes we were finally able to get away from him and we ended up missing our Uber and had to ask Turo valet to call us another one. Over the next 2-3 days I was trying to get Turo on the phone to ask about the claims process, speaking with the third party to let them know what was going on, and messaging with Reza. FYI, Turo claims is offline and you can only text or email them unless you make a phone call appointment (which are only available in 15 minute windows and an appointment can only be made if they send you a link to a reps calendar). Note that they are slow to respond and have limited office/response hours, and calling regular Turo customer support does NOT help because they don't know about the claims process. Because of this, I was unable to gather information to make a decision quickly. I mentioned to him that Turo is slow to respond but I wanted to get as much information before making a decision. He mentioned again that I should just give him $900 so he could fix the car and that this would be over with. When I asked him for an estimate to get an accurate number he said that $900 WAS an accurate number and that if I wanted an estimate than he would go to Ford for the estimate and if I could afford to pay over $2000. I could not understand why he couldn't just go to this "cheap place" and get a quick estimate. It was either give him $900 now or go through Turo and pay over $2000. I asked him about the third party and he pretty much said that that's not his problem and that I could deal with them on my own. Later on he messaged me that he had to cancel the next appointment for the car and it was my fault because I got into an accident and that he was losing money so to hurry up and figure out if I was going to pay him cheap or go through Turo. Initially I had agreed to paying him because I couldn't get accurate information from Turo and I just wanted to be done with him. But after speaking with the third party (who's daughter happens to be an insurance agent), and finally getting a phone call with Turo I decided to file a claim. Not only was Reza just trying to get cash from us (a quick online search shows that you can purchase a replacement bumper for about $150 at most and no way is labor over $700) but he was being super unfair by not providing an estimate and trying to "scare us" into paying him outside of Turo by stating that Turo would make him go to Ford (which is not true. Turo has a third party adjuster that they work with). On top of that, trying to get accurate information from Turo was a nightmare. You'd think that a department as important as claims would be more accessible and have more flexible hours. We are currently in the claims process (again, slow responses from Turo) and I'm hoping to have this done with quickly so that I can block him from texting me and be done with dealing with such a slimy person.
The car was amazing, far above what I expected. Everything went great and there were no problems with it. I definitely enjoyed driving the car for the day. Reza was very kind, polite, and made the process of receiving and returning the car easy. I would definitely recommend him if anyone is looking to rent a car.
My trip with Reza Sadatkhonsari in his Ford Focus was beyond deplorable. We were under the impression we would be dropping the vehicle off at 6:00PM on Monday, April 17th, as our flight out would not be leaving around 10:00PM. On Monday we received a call around 3:00PM from Reza asking where we were we should be dropping our car off at 3:00PM and that he had emailed us the previous day. We explained to him that we had no service and absolutely no access to email and that we had thought we were dropping off at 6. We told him we were driving currently and we could be to him by 4pm. He was very rude and and hyped up on the phone repeating he had to go to Calabasas we needed to be there, he needed to bring another car to someone else. Again, we continued to explain to him that we were in traffic and we would drive to him as quick as possible and be there right about 4, but there was nothing more we could do and we apologized for the miscommunication. Finally he stated he had to get to Calabasas and that he would be back and to meet him at 6:30PM and he would email us the location. We asked him if he would please call us a half hour beforehand.
Reza did call us a half hour beforehand. We told him that we were on the road to him and bringing the car to him and our estimated time of arrival. He was rude on the phone, but we would be there. As we got close to the airport location we called him again and asked him if he could give us a more detailed description of where he was because it was outside of the airport terminal areas and we were having a hard time finding exactly where he was. He was extremely rude and yelling at us and yelling he sent us the email. We responded that we understand he sent an email but we still could not locate him and asked if he could help give us a more descriptive guidance of his locations, like what's around him that we could find him. He just continued to scream over the phone and hung.
We did finally find him at his location, which was on a side road that had was one way near what may be an airport hanger, it was like a location where semi-trucks were delivering to a warehouse or something. As I was pulling up he was screaming at me saying he was going to call the cops on me that the car was stolen and he wanted to see my driver's license. I replied that my license was in our luggage and I needed to get it out in order to give it to him. Reza popped the trunk and I was able to get one luggage piece out of the trunk when Reza started to speed off. When he did so my hand was still on the handle of the vehicle and my arm was pulled a bit and my fingernail a bit ripped off. (My shoulder is now sore from the incident.) I yelled after Reza and started to go run after the car. After a couple of minutes he pulled back around, as it doesn't seem he could get out the way he went. He came speeding towards me, ran our luggage bag over and almost ran his vehicle straight towards me!!! I was flailing my arms because I honestly thought he was going to run me over, he barely swerved to miss me. As this happened my wife was driving by to pick me up, because she was dropping off our family at the airport for their flight. I was standing there on the side of the road. After a few minutes he came speeding back and basically threw the luggage out of the car. And it was confrontational and uncomfortable between us. It was very hostile and we are beyond concerned and upset by the whole situation. There was no trying to having any rational, meaningful conversation with this man, he was out of control.
Immediately after this had happened my wife called Turo to tell them about the situation while I called the police. By the time the police had arrived and took the report we got to the airport and completely missed our flight. We were rebooked on a flight that had two connecting layovers and wouldn't get us home until almost 12 hours later than our original flight.
We are appalled with the the experience we had with Raza. He was irate and out of control. From the very first phone call we had with him on Monday afternoon he was very rude and upset however, we were in contact with him throughout the rest of the day trying the best to communicate. We have never experienced anything like this before and are extremely concerned by this. This man should not be providing any type of service to any customers, he seems very dangerous, unorganized and not at all responsible for a service in this manner. We will be in ongoing contact with the police as I am pressing charges. I do not want this to happen to anyone else.

The Airport pickup and drop off was very easy and convenient. The car was clean and drove fine, great gas milage as well. Would recommend to a friend.
