For renters driving their own vehicles, we provide off-street parking at the rear of our property. Bicycles can be stored on-site in our garage. In either case, please let us know prior so that we can ensure those spaces are available.
For SFO deliveries, we will meet you at the airport at a location of your choosing. - If you would like a tutorial on the car's features such as Autopilot, they will be provided en route to our location just a couple miles away where we will complete with how to charge and use the Summon feature. - For renters either experienced with driving a Tesla or wanting to learn on their own, we will check your ID and hand you the keys so you can be on your way!
For non-SFO destination deliveries, we will meet you at the specified location and provide a full or an abbreviated tutorial of your choosing. We'll arrange for our trip back so you can be on your way!
• no smoking or pets, please • no rides to/from without paid delivery fee • return clean and with a minimum of 50% range • any tolls incurred are the renters responsibility
How long does it take to charge during a road trip?
We frequently travel to LA and can make the trip with 3 stops where we charge anywhere from 15-45 minutes at each. In some cases, we find that we're still in line for coffee or food by the time we've sufficiently charged.
If you're going on a long trip, please tell us at pickup; we'll be happy to help you plan your stops!
How much do things like the heater, AC, or phone charging take from the charge?
For one or two passengers, the heated seats are the most effective and efficient to use; rear passengers will typically need the cabin heated to be comfortable. By far, the AC is the largest energy suck; expect to lose approximately 20+ miles depending on intensity. Phones and other electronics have a nearly negligible impact on charge.
How well does Autopilot work?
Autopilot works best during long-haul trips where road lines are clearly marked and, ideally, there are vehicles in front of you. While it is possible to use it in most circumstances, undivided highways and freeways are the safest and most ideal.
We provide a brief overview of Autopilot and other features at pickup. We also offer a more comprehensive tutorial where we take a short drive and explain the features en route.
2016 Tesla Model SBrandon's Tesla15515
We have used the Tesla for our LA trip. Brandon and Andrew were both helpful and responsive. Really cool car:)
First time renting on Turo. I had a great experience. We met at his location at the scheduled time and he gave me a good introduction to a Tesla vehicle. This was my first time driving a Tesla, so that was very helpful. Car was very clean. Would rent again.
Brandon was very kind and professional throughout our communication. He was especially flexible with changes to our schedule- we added one more activity to our itinerary because the day (and car) was so enjoyable. Will definitely be contacting Brandon if another rental is needed.
