Description

Be one of the first to experience Tesla's newest vehicle - the amazing Model Y Perfomance compact SUV, in pearl white with white seats. It's fully-loaded, with Enhanced Autopilot and Full Self-Driving packages. It has the Performance package and is lightning-quick, sprinting 0-60 in just 3.6 seconds. Looking to take a roadtrip? You can enjoy Netflix and Youtube on the 15" touchscreen, while charging up at Tesla's best-in-class Supercharging Network. So, whether you’re considering a Model Y purchase, looking for the ultimate weekend get-away car, or just want to check out the most compelling, technologically-advanced, and FUN car on the road, you’re in for an Amazing experience! . . . Model Y's 8 cameras, 12 sonar sensors and forward-looking radar enable Enhanced Autopilot whereby the car will speed up/slow down, stop/go, and follow the curves in the road autonomously for you. You must keep your hands on the wheel, maintain situational awareness, and be ready to take over at a moment's notice (though you'll rarely have to). Standard equipment includes: 15” touchscreen display; 12-way, power adjustable front seats, steering column and side mirrors, with custom driver profiles; premium audio system with more power, tweeters, surround speakers and subwoofer; tinted glass roof with ultraviolet and infrared protection, dual zone climate control system; FM/Internet streaming radio; onboard maps and navigation; Wi-Fi and LTE internet connectivity; voice activated controls, bluetooth hands-free calling and media streaming; 60/40 split folding rear seat to maximize cargo options; back-up camera; auto dimming rear-view mirror; one-touch power windows throughout; power-adjustable side mirrors; full LED exterior lighting; six front row and two side curtain airbags; electronic stability and traction control, four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes with electronic parking brake; anti-theft alarm system.

Guidelines

* Free unlimited supercharging during your Model Y rental. * Model 3 should be returned clean according to Turo policy - in the same condition when picked up (a $25 cleaning convenience fee will be assessed for non-compliance, more if excessively soiled). * $15 charging convenience fee charged if car returned with less than 50 miles in battery * No pets in Model 3 (a $150-250 cleaning fee will be assessed for non-compliance) * No smoking in Model 3 (a $150-250 cleaning fee will be assessed for non-compliance)

Faqs

  • Does Model Y really drive itself?

My Model Y has both Enhanced Autopilot and Full Self-Driving Capability. When engaged, it will stay within the lanes, speed up/slow down and stop and go with traffic, park itself and much more. It's best-in-class, it's amazing, it handles 90%+ of my commute from western Loudoun County to Tysons. I love it! That said, it is still drivers' assistance functionality, not full autonomy (yet!), You still need to maintain situational awareness, keep your hands on the wheel, remain ready to take over at a moment's notice (though you'll generally not need to). You're still responsible for the safe operation of the vehicle.

  • How do I operate Model Y?

Don't be intimidated. Most basically, there's a steering wheel, a brake pedal, and an accelerator pedal- pretty basic. But, as you'll soon have the pleasure of discovering, there's so much much more to the Tesla driving experience. You can check out some basic functionality here: https://insideevs.com/watch-all-9-newly-released-tesla-model-3-walkthrough-videos/ You can go a lot deeper here with Zac and Jesse's M3 review: www.youtube.com/watch?v=2yzq2UCQj74 (note Model 3 and Y functionality are pretty much identical)

  • How do I charge Model Y?

Typically 90% of charging by owners is done at home. During your Model Y rental, charging at Tesla's supercharger network will be at no cost to you. You can also charge at any number of Tesla and non-Tesla charging stations which you can find at plugshare.com or on plugshare's handy phone app which you can download - I generally stick to the free options.
