This Jeep has a remote unlock feature. The key will be in the vehicle. You will use Turo messaging or text or call me to unlock the vehicle. This takes about 30 seconds to complete.

• How do you charge a plug in hybrid?

  A plug in Hybrid is designed to have a limited electric range for daily commuting. In this case, about 25 miles. The Jeep comes with it's own 110 volt cable. Plug this in to a standard wall outlet, and it will recharge overnight in about 12 hours. This is level one charging. Level two charging is available at many hotels and locations throughout downtown Santa Fe and the Taos Ski Valley for example. A level 2 charger will recharge the car in the time it takes to have a leisurely meal, about 2 hours. These chargers work with an app, ChargePoint, Get the Free app, and register & put in your credit card info. The app helps you locate a nearby charger and arranges payment, usually about $2.00 for a two hour charge. Some hotels have free charging, EVHotels is a nice ($2.99) app to locate EV capable and friendly hotels.

• Does the car have to be cleaned before returning?

  The car does not have to be cleaned before returning. Pet hair, smoking, and/or caked on mud would be above the usual level of dirtiness and would entail an extra charge for cleaning and or damage.

• Does the car have to be returned fully charged or with a full fuel tank?

  You do not have to return the vehicle fully charged. This is impractical for you, and inexpensive for me. Please use Premium gas to refill the tank. IF you do not have time to refill the car, we will refill it for the cost of fuel and $10. This is a great deal for you.

• Is off roading permitted?

  This is a high end luxury vehicle that is off road capable. You are welcome to drive the vehicle on dirt and unimproved roads. But, this is not for serious off roading bolder crawling or river crossing.

• Do you allow Pets?

  This is a new car in pristine condition. We can discuss your situation to determine if in my view, your pets would not damage this vehicle.

• Do you have a bike rack? Ski Rack?

  A 4 bike high end lockable rack that attaches to the hitch behind the vehicle has been ordered. It will be available for $20 a day, or $75 per trip. Please indicate if you want this before hand. A ski rack may be available for ski season.

• What kind of gas should I refill the vehicle with?

  This is a Turbocharged gas engine. Premium is required. The good news is it runs like it is at sea level.

• Do you allow smoking? Cannabis?

  Now is a good time to quit smoking. ;-). Smoking tobacco or cannabis is not allowed in the car. Any evidence of smoking would result in a $250 cleaning fee.

• Where can you charge this vehicle?

  Local Hotels with onsite charging: The Inn of the Five Graces The Inn and Spa at Loretto La Fonda on the Plaza La Posada Casa Culinaria Santa Fe Motel and Inn (will need Tesla to J1772 adapter- check for availability with Host) El Rey Inn Walk to Charger Hotels in Downtown Santa Fe: Guadalupe Inn Hotel Santa Fe El Paradero Bed and Breakfast El Farolito B&B Inn Old Santa Fe Inn Inn of the Governors El Corazon de Santa Fe Casa Del Toro There are 15 Level 2 chargers in Downtown Santa Fe that recharge at 10-25 miles an hour. Use the Chargepoint free App to locate those. There are chargers in Los Alamos, Taos, Taos Ski Valley, Las Vegas, Albuquerque, Raton and Southern Colorado. Use the ChargePoint App for details.
