You can drop off the car after your trip at a different location than the place you pick up the car. However, the drop off location must be within 30 miles of Palo Alto, CA. Please discuss with me if the drop off location is farther away.

Parking details

You can park your car on the street or in the parking lot where you find my car. My car is parked in the parking lot in front of Subway at 4131 El Camino Real. You can use the Turo app to find the exact location of the car. Please make sure to return the car to a spot in the same parking lot. Call me at 4088293621 when you arrive at the car so I can unlock it for you.

Guidelines

No smoking, no pets, and please return the car as clean as you found it; otherwise you will be charged for the cleaning fee. If you've never driven a Tesla or Model X, please watch some YouTube videos to get familiar with the features. You can't take the car to race tracks!

  • How about the Tolls? Is the car registered with FasTrak? Can I use the FasTrak lane?

    I have a FasTrak Tag in the car. You are welcome to use the FasTrak lanes. I will ask you for reimbursement after the trip for any toll charges on my account plus an administrative fee at the end of your trip.

  • I have never driven a Telsa or Model X before, will I get instructions on how to operate the car?

    I will give you enough instructions to get you going. If you never driven a Tesla or Model X, please watch the videos provided in this link: https://www.tesla.com/support/model-X-videos or any other YouTube videos related to the car to get yourself familiarized with the key features.

  • Can someone else drive the car I booked on Turo?

    Please contact Turo to add an additional driver at no additional fees and make sure that they are verified and approved to drive before your rental starts.

  • How much does it cost to charge the car battery?

    This car doesn't have unlimited free supercharging. Therefore, you are responsible for the fees of charging the car. If you use Tesla supercharges during your trip, I will ask for reimbursement for all the charges that go into my account at the end of your trips. You can buy the Pre-paid EV Re-charge and use the Superchargers as much as you want.

  • How should I plan a trip using Superchargers?

    You can enter your destination in the navigation system on the screen. The built-in Trip Planner will automatically route you through Superchargers on the way to your destination. In addition, all Supercharger locations are displayed in the car's Navigation to assist with route planning.

  • How do I use the Tesla Supercharger?

    Simply park and plug in your vehicle using the connector at the Supercharger post. Once plugged in, the vehicle's charge port LED will flash green to indicate that charging has started. No credit card needed.

Really enjoyed the drive. It have the full autopilot. It's the first time I am driving this one so; I have to call Raymond few time to figure few things out, and he very patient and answer the phone all the time.

Had a terrible first time experience renting on Turo through Raymond. Everything seemed great at first. Picked up the car at 10am (raymond wasn't there for the pick up), packed up the car, had the car for a few hours at that point. (Pick up 10AM, was about to leave around 1/2pm). Right before we were going to take off, my uncle stopped me and pointed out the back left tire and said that tires going to pop. I Turned off the car and got out for a closer look; the tire was bald to the point wires were showing. Upon inspecting all 3 other tires, they were bald to the point where there was barely tread. I had secured the car a full week ahead of my scheduled trip and would have various conversations where I told him how far I would be traveling so I assumed he would make sure the car is in top shape all around. The inside was clean but the tires were clearly neglected. After contacting Raymond about the issue, he blamed me for not checking them beforehand, pretty much seemed like he didn't care of what could've happened to us if the tire had popped while we were on the way. He also offered to "change the tires for me" which was if I went to go get them replaced myself, so basically I'm already paying for time with the car -- then having to go get the tires changed myself because he "didn't notice the issue with the tires and in his opinion, they are good for another 10,000 miles" -- which cuts into my trip by wasting my time to go do something he should have already gotten done himself. It's too bad I can't post pictures here for everyone to see how bad the tires are and the stuff he was saying to me in our conversation. Hopefully, he corrects his actions because someone might get into an accident and hurt due to his negligence where he probably would just say he didn't notice anything wrong. Would recommend looking into other Turo owners or if you do rent from this guy, make sure you triple check everything

It was definitely an unfortunate event that none of us noticed the condition of the tire until your uncle pointed it out to you. Then I offered to pay for the tire replacement at my cost or return the car to me so I could have it fixed. I understand that you wanted to get on the trip and decided to use your uncle’s truck instead. I always keep my car at the best condition possible. Sorry for the unforeseen event that caused you to cut short of the reservation.
