Very easy transaction and everything went smoothly. It was convenient to have the vehicle waiting for us in the parking structure after a long day of flying, especially since we arrived late. If we would have reserved at a car rental agency, they would have been closed when we arrived.

I rarely leave bad reviews for anything but unfortunately, i need to be honest about this host. The car itself is older and has some mechanical issues including some strange noises in the suspension and a blinker bulb that is out which he is aware of. But our real disappointment came when he charged a cleaning fee after fabricating a story. I would happily pay for a fee even if it was cleaned perfectly just out of courtesy ! (and we acknowledge we didn’t vacuum every crumb). However, the host resorted to lying about shampooing carpets for hours and the lies just got bigger and bigger with each message over days of correspondence... finally culminating in spilled food and mud everywhere. Unfortunately, he didn’t have any pictures to back up the tall tails and we had a video of a clean car that we returned could use more detailed vacuuming. So we escalated it to Turo to investigate. Apparently, a host can charge a moderate cleaning fee based on just about anything. And the fact that he lied is irrelevant. It could be a few crumbs and that could warrant the fee. Even though there was no proof to his claims of mud everywhere that needed shampooing for hours, he was able to charge the fee. Just a warning to future users.. this host isn’t an honest dude, the car is old and needs work, and just expect the cleaning fee.... think of it as a tip!

We had great experience and highly recommend this host and a car .Had plenty of room for family of 5 . Will definitely rent this car again in a couple months when we back to Hawaii.
