This is a fully capable gas-powered car with the added bonus of an electric motor. So you get all the iconic rugged Jeep Wrangler goodness with great fuel economy. AWD for the winter, plus a fast working heater and heated seats + steering wheel Car has GPS navigation Think of a plug in hybrid like a super hybrid with a beefier battery -- you get 49MPGe! We take maintenance and cleaning very seriously, so you can expect to have a safe and reliable ride for your trip. Pick-up and drop-off will be completely contactless, so we are flexible (in case of flight delays, etc). It’s no problem if you are delayed picking up the car or early to return -- just let us know and we'll have everything ready for you. The car pick up/drop off is in an unrestricted parking lot, so you have access at any time of day. If you need to add additional rental time you'll need to submit the request via Turo -- we accommodate these whenever possible. Does this car run on gas or electricy?
Both! With a full charge, it'll go the first 24 miles on battery. After that, the gas engine kicks in and operates like your normal Jeep. You can fill up both electricity and / or gasoline. Go farther, and go efficiently.
How do I manage tolls?
Drive straight through -- the car is equipped/registered and you'll get an invoice after your trip ends. Please note that the SF Bay Area uses Fastrack Flex: when in the Fastrak lane, you will need to adjust the slider on the equipped transponder to reflect the number of people in the car.
What if I need extra miles?
You're more than welcome to book even if you think you'll use more than the allotted mileage. Turo will add on a charge after the end of your trip, calculated by the number of miles

Fun car! Very good condition, clean and nice car. Due to it is a hybrid, has very pleasant fuel consumption. The owner of the car is very responsive and pleasant in communication. Wonderful experience, I recommend it to everyone and would happy to use the car again.

Bri was truly a pleasure to deal with...very thorough, professional, and quick to respond to messages. The Jeep was parked at the airport before our flight arrived and she had provided clear instructions on how to find it and how to return it. It was clean, in excellent condition and fun to drive. The hybrid feature takes a bit of getting used to...especially when the battery is low but it can be switched from hybrid to gas to electric as desired. The convertible top is an awesome feature, although you don't realize how much sun you are getting...until the sunburns appear later. It is equipped with a Fastrak pass to make toll bridges seamless, although you will get a bill for them later. We recommend renting a vehicle from Bri without any reservations.
