You get what you pay for. Our trip went well enough - however other guests may find the following facts relevant: 1. The car was quite grimy and grubby inside when I picked it up. Sticky cup holders, small bits of refuse in the door pockets, dirt, shoe marks and scuffs, etc. Not problematically so, but nearly. I pre-paid a cleaning fee.... I hope the next guest benefits. 2. The rear suspension of this vehicle is in need of immediate service - the right rear suspension creaks and squeals dramatically over bumps or other weight loads. 3. We had a flat tire mid trip and had to contact and negotiate with Turo Roadside ourselves. This was late in the day on Black Friday - in California in a massive winter storm. This led to the discovery that all the tires on the car are very close, if not beyond the 1/8th inch safety limit on the tread. I was then forced to consider paying for additional tires for a hosts vehicle, or rolling the dice on driving on a storm battered I-5 on 3 poorly condition tires and the 1 new one I had just bought. 4. All our messages to the host went and remain unanswered even now, the trip completed 3 days later. No contact about the tire ... nothing. The car was a bargain and did minimally what it was supposed to. But it was mildly unpleasant, partially unsafe, the “hosting” was essentially self service - AND I had to come out of pocket for repairs at possibly the worst moment possible. (I’ve been promised a reimbursement by TURO)
