Produced for five generations across 36 model years, Caravan is the longest-lived Dodge nameplate (six years longer than 1980-2009 Dodge Ram). Sold primarily in the United States and Canada, in Europe and other international markets, the Dodge Caravan was marketed as the Chrysler Voyager and Chrysler Caravan. In North America, the Grand Caravan was marketed by Volkswagen as the Volkswagen Routan; a cargo van version was sold by Ram Trucks as the Ram C/V Tradesman. Since their introduction in late 1983, over 14.6 million Chrysler minivans have been sold worldwide (including export versions and versions sold through rebranding).[2]
