Alexander had some issues with the appearance of his vehicle upon return - claimed there was a new scratch that wasn’t there before. The scuff was on the only part of the car that I wasn’t able to properly photograph during check-in, because he parked the vehicle next to another one in a parking lot, and I didn’t have enough clearance to take the photo. Meanwhile, the car was already full of similar (if not bigger) scuffs/scratches, none of which seemed to bother him, and none of which really showed on the check-in photos either... which leads me to think he was taking advantage of my mistake of not properly photographing the car during check-in —lesson learned. He immediately asked to “take care of it on the side” suggesting I pay him $50 for a wax! After I refused to play his game, he went as far as to ask for a good review. No sir — the review and rating systems are the lifeline of the shared economy, and people should know who they’re dealing with. Regarding the car itself, well, it was pretty disappointing.. Within a couple of hours of picking up the vehicle, I got a “auxiliary battery malfunction” error on the dash. No idea what that’s about. There were other random intermittent warning lights that would pop in on the dash throughout. The ride was unimpressive. Low torque unless at high revs (freeway speeds). The windshield washer fluid reservoir is either leaking or the spray is broken. Also, the wipers need replacing. It rained heavily at some points of my week-long rental, and I couldn’t see very well at night.
Gabriel returned the car with a scratch that was not there prior to his trip, I decided to let it go because it wasn’t so big after having a good look at it. As far as the warning lights the car has given no errors since the car was returned and drives just fine! When I asked him how the car was during the trip, I was told everything was perfect.
Alexander has completed training on enhanced cleaning and disinfection practices.
