First time using turo and I love the concept. Car was as shown in pictures, and well maintained on the outside. Inside, you could tell it has been driven a lot. Didn’t have as much power as I expected. Picked up Viktoria’s car in Marriot parking lot, which was very close to Venice. I pushed back the time of pick up by a half hour + and sent a message as well. When we got there, car was still being cleaned due to a rental that had gotten there late. I would have liked a message or call to inform me about the wait. Ended up waiting 20 minutes and was almost late to an important meeting (almost 1 hour past original pick up time). Because the car was still being cleaned we were handed the keys immediately and I didn’t receive the lockbox combo for where the keys are kept and need to be returned after the trip. Returning the car was very difficult without the combo. Couldn’t get in touch with the owner and after several messages/calls/texts, a couple of hours waiting in the area for a response, FINALLY got an answer on what to do. I understand people are busy and can not respond right away, but being a first timer I didn’t know what to do. There should be clear communication on WHERE the lockbox is, the combination, and instructions on what to do for easy pickup/drop off so renters don’t need to contact owner. 3 stars because the car was very nice on the outside and Killer shrimp was across the street so waiting wasn’t absolutely terrible.
