Upon arrival, the car looked clean and cute, but on closer inspection, there were handprints on several windows, as well fast food sauce packets and crumbs under the seats. When we wiped down the steering wheel and front of the car, the wipes came up pretty dirty. Not a huge deal to us, but it wasn’t cleaned like we thought it would be. We did quite a bit of driving around town and it got great gas mileage. When the air conditioning is on, the car makes a quiet, but noticeable squealing sound like something is wrong. Especially when going up hills. Also, the tire pressure light is on but Kyle told me that it just comes on intermittently so not a big deal. Overall, it worked for us, but I would not rent it again.

The rate isn’t worth the headache! First the 8 seater I rented wasn’t available anymore which I was informed 24 hours before my trip. Instead he provided a 5 seater which wasn’t confirmed until 4 hours before pick up. The vehicle was below empty and I wasn’t even sure I could make the gas station but did. I noticed at that time I had a low tire with a nail in it. Possibly dropped off that way or on my trip to the gas station. Nonetheless I took it to get patched as the nail is in the center of the tire which generally is not a big deal but unfortunately the tire was to bald to be fixed and actually all 4 were beyond the wear line and need to be replaced. I informed him of the situation before the tire shop which was acknowledged after the news of all needing to be replaced I didn’t receive a response for over an hour during that time they put on the spare as they can’t legally patch the bald tire. Once he did get back to me he acknowledged all the tires are bad and offered his card number to purchase the tires unfortunately I left as he wouldn’t respond. I then informed him I don’t have time to replace the tires as I’m on vacation and have a car full of KIDS so I’m a little upset with the unsafe condition of the vehicle provided. He said he would pick up the vehicle at my current location which I agreed to and he did but he wouldn’t accept my cancellation request which also keeps you from getting another vehicle on Turo as you already have a reservation. I reached out to Turo and they were able to assist in the cancellation. Now this is where it gets even worse I’m not sure if he was upset I wouldn’t go replace all 4 of his bald tires for him or my request for the $70 in gas I put into the vehicle I wasn’t able to drive but he has the tenacity of filing a claim against me for his bald tire. One which he acknowledged was beyond wear. This was my first time using Turo and this host provided the worst possible first experience possible. Turo has been helpful in the situation. My dad was also on this trip and used Turo his experienced was flawless so this was definitely a host issue but lucky for us he was with because the last minuet change to a 5 seater from an 8 couldn’t fit us. I would avoid at all cost.
