The car is new and in good shape, drives well. The issues I encountered were with the hosts professionalism. The car was late to be at the pick up destination, delaying the very small window for my pick up time. It also wasn’t cleaned upon pick up as there was trash under the seats and in the door panels. The check engine light came on immediately and I got reminders every time I turned on the car to have it serviced for an oil change. I contacted the host and he was going to come look at it while it was parked, but I never heard anything regarding a follow up about this issue. On the day I returned the car, I dropped it off 4 hours early and the host was not in town. I was asked to take pictures of the car and send it to him upon drop off (which I did). Despite the host being very attentive when responding to my messages about the low oil notification, it was challenging to reach him approaching the drop off time. There were no specific drop off instructions was eventually told about an hour later (as I sat at the return location to hear back about the drop off instructions) and was informed to leave the key inside the vehicle and leave it unlocked, but I was also asked to go back after I dropped off the car and asked to turn the car around so it was not backed in. It was really frustrating to have to go all the way back to do so after I had left. Clearer communication and punctuality would have made the rental much smoother. I returned the car in much better condition than when I received it. Overall, a pretty disappointing experience from an experienced Turo renter. I will state that the host did respond quickly to my extended rental request day by day until I no longer needed the car, which was a total of 8 days.

Well I don’t think 3 stars was warranted..there wasn’t any trash upon pickup at the car, you told me you were going to notify me when the car was parked so I could come by and address it. There was no issue with low engine oil, Lexus sends you a service reminder when there is a service and that doesn’t reset until you take it to a shop. They don’t like the do it yourself types working on it ourselves...I responded within a half hour on the last text so you received the instructions where to drop
