I was overall dissatisfied with this experience. In all fairness, I will admit that I was about 10 minutes late to the scheduled pickup location due to a delayed flight. The host seemed understanding, and made the check in process quick and simple. However, the next day, the vehicle displayed a low tire pressure warning light. Additionally, the vehicle had a constant vibration and rough idle. I stopped to check the pressure of all four tires, and added air where needed. The light was persistent through the next day and the tire pressure continued to decrease. I continued to add air to the tire, which obviously caused an inconvenience and resulted in multiple changes to my itinerary. I made the host aware of the situation, and contacted Turo to advise them as well. I waited on hold with Turo for approximately 30 minutes. Once connected with a representative, they told me they could not help directly, and referred me to an online chat box to process the complaint but then told me that the problem was now in the hands of the host. When I asked the host how to proceed, he was uncertain. The host stated that he was at work, and unable to meet me to receive the vehicle and was unwilling to cancel the trip at that time which meant I was being charged for the entire duration of the day for which I was unable to use the vehicle. While the issue may, or may not, have been out of the host's control, I found little to no support from the host or Turo. In fact, the host told me it was my problem (not his) and that I should "fix" the problem. After all this, I ended up having to rent another car from a conventional rental company, while this vehicle sat in a parking lot, to prevent further interruption of my trip. Then, at the end of the day, I had to return this vehicle to the host's house because he was unwilling to pick up his vehicle.
