Due to an unforeseen circumstance, I knew I would not make it back on time. I reached out to Sam & Sam to advise of this issue and requested an extension. The extension was denied, as they advised “their apartment security was very strict so they would not be able to come out side to get their vehicle upon return”. They advised that o would have to return the vehicle on the following day at 8am, however I would be charged for a full day. I declined and advised it would work better for me to return the vehicle on the original return date , just a few hours later. Sam and Samantha reached out to Turo, and advised them to contact me to advise I was “speeding”. I was trailing behind my daughter who begin to have transmission issues on the freeway . Her vehicle wouldn’t go above 65 mph, so there was no way that I was speeding. I returned the vehicle on that night and there wasn’t any issue with security. Sam and Samantha just wanted to receive additional fees. The following day I received two different notices of extra fees Sam & Samantha charged , in which I paid them. I then received an email from Turo stating Sam & Samantha where filing for a damage claim for very , very small hand prints left in the car. Turo has emailed me and advised the claim has been voiced due to there not being any damage. I must say I was very appalled with the outcome of my trip . I’ve used Turo multiple times before, and I’ve NEVER received service like this before.
Beware of lying Renter. Renter was driving above 100mph. We contacted turo and turo sent 1st warning. And then a 2nd warning issued since speeding continued. They returned the car 2hours after their trip was over could not extend trip due to the curfew of security but offered for morning dropoff. The vehicle was returned by a random person who was not the guest that is pictured on the profile. On top my car was trashed with soda and grass and dirt . This Person does not belong in this platform.
Sam and Sam has completed training on enhanced cleaning and disinfection practices.
