Brand new 2019 BMW 540XI Not the lowly 530 or 528 model. 6 cylinders and a turbo with AWD give this luxury car a little pep. Incredibly comfortable. And at night the interior feels like a club with all of the amazing lighting options on top of the bumpin sound system. People are renting 4 year old basic three series for this price, you really cant go wrong with the far superior and brand new 5 series, more room, more luxury, more power, just more better in every imaginable aspect. car was dirty, scratches and dents all over. shakes when brakes applied and makes noise and shakes when wheel is turned. michelle communicated quick with my concerns and took care of the tolls

The host deserves 5 stars however vehicle brought it down a couple stars. I was a little disappointed that the vehicle was not clean (inside or out). Very dusty, seats dirty and floors didnt seem vacuumed in awhile. Exterior was very dirty however host mentioned weather was raining when when they last had car so that’s understandable, but I did have to run it through a wash myself. The biggest issue was a cracked rim which caused the tire to be flat. Host was unaware of this issue so not their fault, but it did make for a very inconvenient trip with bringing to a tire shop and filling up with air each day. Host was apologetic and covered my toll changes which was a nice gesture. The car does need some servicing though before next rental, warning lights on that passenger airbag was not operating and check engine light was on for something else. When braking the car starts shaking and when driving slow in parking lot there is a lot of noises with suspension. When it rains it pours and unfortunately all that happened on my trip which stinks but I have nothing but good things to say about the host. I would feel comfortable renting from them again but would just choose a different car unless all the servicing gets completed from this car. It’s a fun car to drive and sharp. Like I said, Host is 5 stars for communication, apologetic and willingness to try and resolve issues.

This has been the third time I’ve rented on Turo. The first couple times were amazing, enjoyed the cars that i’ve rented and the experience was enjoyable until recently. Me and my friends decided to rent this beautiful and luxurious bmw 5 series for our trip to Tennessee from October 29-November 3. Had to make an hour drive to pick up the car which was fine. As soon as I got there the owner left the key in the car for me to drive off. Right off the bat I see that the check engine light is on. As soon as a i pulled off I asked the owner about it and said that he was aware and it was just not the right gas that the previous renter had put in the car that triggered this. Which was fine for me because the car was running fine and I just wanted to know if he was aware of this. Hopping on the expressway on the way home, at a cruising speed of 60 and above i eventually had to slam on the brakes and then I noticed the car was shuddering especially on the steeeing wheel/pedals. Right away i felt that the car needed to be looked at because it takes a while for the brakes to slow down the car and stop. I call the owner about this but was unable to pick up cause of work and so i communicated with him through text. To cut the long story short, i exhausted all the options for me to still be able to take this car to Tennessee SAFELY but ended up having to find another person drive with me back to the pick up location on the same day! I really hope that Turo should do something about this. Like requiring all the owners that are renting their cars to make sure that they are safe, good and ready to go for pick up especially for planned long trips. I ended up contacting Turo’s assistance/help team but this was such a hassle on my end too since they are not able to talk on the phone only through online messaging.
