Description

This 1996 Buick Roadmaster wagon (Limited Collector's Edition) is the cultural phenomenon of American past like no other and it is in great shape for a twenty-plus year old car! Free delivery with a two-day rental!!! It is available in DCA, IAD & BWI. The car offers spacious, comfortable ride for five people with the smoothness and power rivaling the President's limo. Planning a long trip - this is the best vehicle for it! And yet it is surprisingly agile thanks to its powerful V-8 engine, super light power steering and tight turning radius. While it already has plenty of cargo space, you can fold down the rear seat and get a flat area the size of a full bed. The wagon has the same platform/length as the longest edition of a Chevy Suburban. Its large windows are great for navigating in traffic and sightseeing. The car is fully loaded with all modern amenities such as ABS, power windows and locks, power and heated seats with adjustable height, tilt and lumbar support, A/C with climate control, cruise control, variable power assist steering, etc. As importantly, I added a few cassette tapes including Bruce Springsteen, Phil Collins, Simon & Garfunkel so you can have a fine ride down the memory lane of the 90-ties. Please note that any weekend day rental requires a two-day rental or more. This is a non-smoking car! Please review the extras if you need a Bluetooth speaker, GPS, sleeping bags, sport gear, a fishing rod, etc. Enjoy! If you need a smaller car, please check my Hyundai Accent: https://turo.com/rentals/cars/dc/washington/hyundai-accent/277622 P.S. It appears that such cars can no longer be added to Turo. I suppose you've got here a pretty unique chance to drive this last truly American wagon as they were discontinued in 1996.

Guidelines

Please review Turo's late return, extra miles and missing gas policies. If you wish to return the car early, or it becomes apparent that you are running late, I will greatly appreciate it if you let me know as early as possible so that I can adjust my plans.

Faqs

  • What about the late return or miles driven in excess of the daily allowance of 200 miles?

Let's agree on 20 minutes of courtesy time for the late return and 10 miles or less on over-the-limit mileage.

  • What about zoned street parking in Washington?

If you are a DC resident, you can easily obtain a visitor/temporary street parking permit; all it takes is a simple online registration: https://ddot.dc.gov/page/visitor-parking-pass-program Otherwise, the car does not have a zoned parking permit.

It was a great car. I had a blast driving something from the past. Don’t let the age of the car scare you. She’s perfect.
