Even if just slightly dirty on the outside if the car is returned unwashed and the prepaid cleaning fee was waived, then you can be charged for a cleaning fee according Turo rules. *This is a NON SMOKING car. Please DO NOT smoke ANYTHING in this car. You can be charged to get the interior detailed if this rule is violated and residual smells are present *If you go through a TOLL during the drip, You will be charged the TOLL FEE after the trip is ended. Thank you. * PETS - Are allowed, but we ask that you mitigate any potential allergy issues by laying down sheets, covers, or using a crate. Any found pet hair or dander may incur a cleaning fee. DO NOT RUN THE CAR DOWN TO 0% BATTERY. Use the vehicle's touchscreen (or Apps or Google) to locate the nearest charging stations. ✔ You must keep the battery charged between 20% and 90% at all times. ✔ You must return my car with between 70%-90% battery remaining. If returned with 69% or less battery you may be charged per Turo's policy. ADDITIONAL USAGE: If you are running late or want to keep the vehicle additional hours or days, you may extend the trip on Turo, if possible.   • How do I use the key card to lock/ unlock and start/ turn off the car?

    1. To lock or unlock, tap your key card on the center of the pillar to the right of the driver’s door window, near the small oval opening where a camera is located. 2. To start the car, place your foot on the brake pedal and tap your key card behind the cup holders. (there is no start button to push) You'll see the touchscreen activate. 3. You can turn off the car by putting the car in park, exiting the car and closing the door behind you. Just walk away, that's it. 4.   • How do I switch gears; Drive, Reverse, Neutral, and Park?

    The right hand driving stick on the steering wheel changes the gears. Drive: Click down and release. Reverse: Click up and release. Neutral: Quick half-click up or down then release. Park: Press and release the silver button on the end of the stick.

  • Is Tesla Supercharging free?

    NO, Tesla Supercharging is NOT FREE. Tesla bills at least $0.28/kwh and guests are responsible for paying for all charging fees at the end of rental. Additionally, Supercharger idle fees are up to $1.00/min if the car is plugged in and not actively charging. *rates subject to change. To AVOID IDLE FEES unplug and move the car within 5 minutes of it completing charge. Use the vehicle's touchscreen (or Apps or Google) to locate the nearest charging stations. Do not run the car down to 0% battery. You must keep the battery charged between 20% and 90% at all times.

  • How do I connect/ pair my Bluetooth phone?

    Calls and music can be connected through Bluetooth. 1. Ensure both the touchscreen and the phone are powered on. 2. On your phone, enable Bluetooth and ensure it is discoverable. 3. Touch the Bluetooth icon on the top of the touchscreen. 4. On the touchscreen, touch Add New Device > Start Search. The touchscreen displays a list of all available Bluetooth devices within operating distance. 5. On the touchscreen, touch the phone with which you want to pair. Within a few seconds, the touchscreen displays a randomly generated number, and your phone should display the same number. 6. Check that the number displayed on your phone matches the number displayed on the touchscreen. Then, on your phone, confirm that you want to pair. 7. If prompted on your phone, specify whether you want to allow Model 3 to access your contacts and media files. *Tesla does not support Apple play or Android play

  • How do I locate and use Tesla Superchargers?

    No matter where you drive, Tesla's incredible touchscreen display will map out a plentiful amount of Superchargers in your area. You must keep the battery charged between 20% and 90% at all times. 1st: Just look for the red lightning bolt icon on the navigation system and it will show you the nearest charging information. 2nd: You can also click on the button on the right side of the steering wheel to activate voice commands and tell the vehicle to locate Tesla superchargers. 3rd: click on navigate on the main map screen and type in Tesla superchargers. When you arrive at the Tesla Supercharging Station: 1) Backup into the Tesla Supercharging station parking space. 2) Point the charging nozzle at the charge port door and press the power button on the nozzle and the door will open. 2b) OR press the lightning bolt icon on the touchscreen and press "Open Charge Port." 3) Insert the Tesla charging nozzle into the charge port. 4) The charge port door will close by itself upon removal of the charging nozzle. The center screen will tell you when your charging will be complete. Set an alarm so you can leave the charging station at the time you finish charging. Tesla idle fees are very expensive, up to $1 per minute, so move the car once charged to avoid paying fees.

  • How do I open the car's charging port?

    There are 2 ways to open the charging port: Inside The Car: On the touchscreen, tap the lightning bolt on the bottom left side of the car to open the port. From The Charger: Unlatch the charger from the charging mount by pressing the button on the handle, then bring it towards the charging port. Press and hold the button on the charging handle to open the charging port, then plug in. The car will show it’s charging when the charge port LED changes to solid or flashing green, as well as on the touchscreen. *The charging port door will close itself once you unplug the charging nozzle.

  • How do I properly close the front trunk (frunk) to avoid damaging it?

    The Model 3 hood is not heavy enough to latch under its own weight and applying pressure on the front edge or center of the hood can cause damage such as a dent or a crease. Do not slam or drop the hood. Do not close the hood with one hand. Use both hands with equal downward pressure to close the hood. To properly close the hood: 1. Lower the hood until the striker touches the latches. 2. Place both hands on the front center of the hood about 4 inches from each side of the T logo, then press down firmly to engage the latches. 3. Carefully try to lift the front edge of the hood to ensure that it is fully closed.

  • How do I open the front (frunk) and rear trunk?

    Both can be opened from the touchscreen. Tap on the front or rear of the car icon to open. Rear seats can be manually collapsed to create more trunk space. *Front trunk (frunk) is designed to support up to only 55 pounds of weight. So please do not put heavy items in it. **CAUTION: To close the front trunk, see FAQ or owner's manual on how to properly close it without causing damage.

  • What do the different colored charge port lights indicate?

    • WHITE: The charge port door is open. • BLUE: Model 3 detects that a connector has been plugged in. • BLINKING BLUE: Model 3 is communicating with the connector. • BLINKING GREEN: Charging is in progress. • SOLID GREEN: Charging is complete. • SOLID AMBER: The connector is not fully plugged in. Realign the connector to the charge port and insert fully. • BLINKING AMBER: Model 3 is charging at a reduced current. • RED: A fault is detected and charging has stopped. Check the touchscreen for a fault message. The charging screen displays on the touchscreen whenever the charge port door is open.

  • How do I open the glove box?

    To open the glove box, touch the car icon on the lower left side on the touchscreen: It will bring the car menu, bottom left >glove box .

  • How do I adjust my side view exterior mirrors?

    To adjust the exterior mirrors, touch the car icon on the lower left side on the touchscreen: Adjust the exterior mirrors by touching: Controls > Quick Controls > Mirrors. You can choose which mirror you would like to adjust by selecting Left or Right on the touchscreen. Use the left scroll button on the steering wheel to adjust the mirror to its desired position: NOTE: You can also press the left scroll button to change which mirror you are adjusting. • To move the mirror up or down, roll the left scroll button up or down. • To move the mirror inward or outward, press the left scroll button to the left or right.

  • How long does it take to charge the car?

    Using a Tesla Supercharge Station you get about 200 miles of charge per 30mins.

  • How do I display the odometer/ vehicle mileage?

    On the bottom left side of the touchscreen you'll see a car icon, press that icon to display a menu on the screen, at the bottom of that menu it will say Software, click that option to display the car's mileage and other details.

  • What is the FASTEST way to CHARGE the car?

    FASTEST CHARGING: ALWAYS seek TESLA SUPERCHARGER stations to charge the car as they are the FASTEST. Destination chargers are only useful if you have several hours to leave the car charging. To locate them click on Navigate on the main map screen and type in (or click mic and say): Tesla Superchargers. 1. Time to charge from 30% to 80%: Tesla Supercharger will take about 30 minutes. Destination charger will take about 6 hours. 2. To add about 100 miles of driving range: Tesla Supercharger will take about 15 minutes. Destination charger will take about 3 hours.

  • How long does it take to charge the car?

    Using a Tesla Supercharge Station you get about 200 miles of charge per 30mins.

  • How do I display the odometer/ vehicle mileage?

    On the bottom left side of the touchscreen you'll see a car icon, press that icon to display a menu on the screen, at the bottom of that menu it will say Software, click that option to display the car's mileage and other details.

  • What is the FASTEST way to CHARGE the car?

    FASTEST CHARGING: ALWAYS seek TESLA SUPERCHARGER stations to charge the car as they are the FASTEST. Destination chargers are only useful if you have several hours to leave the car charging. To locate them click on Navigate on the main map screen and type in (or click mic and say): Tesla Superchargers. 1. Time to charge from 30% to 80%: Tesla Supercharger will take about 30 minutes. Destination charger will take about 6 hours. 2. To add about 100 miles of driving range: Tesla Supercharger will take about 15 minutes. Destination charger will take about 3 hours.
