The car was pretty banged up when we got to it. It got really good gas mileage and got us to where we needed to go.

I think using the word banged up is so unfair. Maybe you should just explore cheaper alternatives as I’m assuming that you were hoping for a discount or refund. Car has a black smudge on bumper .
