I gave the 4 mainly bc the car was great. It was a newer car. Drove smooth, sped up well, braked well, tinted perfect (not too dark but dark enough), AC perfect, comfortable, clean interior, limited scratches exterior, everything in working condition. I may even purchase the same year make and model in the near future. My main concern was communication as some of us (not all but definitely me) like to know in advance what’s expected. On pickup day I tried to text ahead of time that I was on the way and asked if I needed to send photos of my license. He didn’t respond early through turo or text or answer call, which made me nervous that it may not be ready (I had a tight work schedule and just flown in hence the last minute booking the day before) , but he did respond through call right on the dot of the appt time. I think responding early just gives peace of mind to a traveler but I can’t complain too much as it was prompt. I did ask if he knew none of the tires had no caps and he just stated they’re fine everythings fine it’s a newer car so felt a bit dismissive. It would be good to get caps as you don’t want dirt in the tire to interfere with future air refills. The day of drop off I once again arrived early and called and texted him to ask if he needed car washed. He responded later a little after drop off time to say yes and when I said it’s too late bc I was already in the Uber he texted me to Zelle his direct number and he’d clean it up tomorrow. He stated “It’s between $ 25 to 35 dollars. Send what you have.” And then I said I will take it up with turo. I didn’t send extra money. The car washes were closed except for one self wash which I didn’t feel comfortable at in the evening time as a female in an unknown city so I hope that that’s understood. I did keep the interior tidy during the 3 days I had it and the outside just needs a quick $7-10 drive through wash and dry. I would suggest leaving correspondence in the turo app instead of regular text message. Response time is fine, it’s just nice if it’s earlier. Asking for payment outside of the app made me uncomfortable. Thank you.
