Description

2016 Alfa Romeo 4C Spider Approaching in the oncoming lane, the mid-engined Alfa Romeo 4C looks every bit as exotic as a Ferrari. It has, after all, about the same width-to-height proportions as a 458 Italia. It is impossibly wide, incredulously low, and breathtakingly beautiful. And then it flies past with triple-digit decibels of anger exploding from its tailpipes, punctuated by the whip-crack misfire induced as its computers orchestrate a 130-millisecond gearchange. The noise is pure Ferrari, in loudness, fury, intensity, and timbre. No surprise, since the Alfa Romeo 4C has no muffler. No muffler at all. No resonator, nothing: a turbo, a catalytic converter, and that's it. In this basic form, it also has no power steering, no side or knee airbags, no carpeting to speak of, a miniscule 10.6-gallon fuel tank, and limited seat adjustibility. It's not a car in the transportation sense of the word, you don't buy this to get from one place to another. The 4C connects you to the road in a way other modern cars don’t. You feel every bump in the asphalt. Each shift of your hands yields mechanical, perceptible results. The car feels coiled, always ready to strike and happy to oblige. Available for long term rental. Car uses Premium unleaded gas (91+ Octane) Car is registered with Fastrak. I will bill you at the end of your trip for any tolls incurred.. Are you planning on flying into SFO but leaving out of LAX or vice versa? For a nominal fee, I offer one-way rentals between SFO and your desired location (vice versa). Pricing can be viewed under Extras on the booking page. Please, No Smoking or "Vaping" inside or near the vehicle / No Pets No beverages allowed in the vehicle, water is allowed in closed container.

Faqs

  • Is there room to put my luggage in this car?

The trunk dimensions are 31x15x13 inches. At best you can probably fit a gym bag, a couple briefcases, or a small carry-on luggage.

  • How do I remove the convertible top?

The canvas top is manually operated. To remove, you will unlatch from driver and passenger side and also unscrew the pins near the rear view mirror. Once removed, the canvas top can be stored in the trunk. Please note that the roof will take up roughly half the trunk space. Here is a detailed Youtube video on how to operate the canvas roof. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DnbRKNqxsHQ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gKapHy1pA0I https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4zmyKBWomg4

  • What type of gas should I use to fill the car? and do I need to fill the gas tank when returning?

Premium unleaded gasoline 91+ Octane. Yes, you need to replace the gas to the level it was at when you first took delivery of the car. For your convenience, I can fill the gas for you and send you a bill through the Turo App at the end of your trip.

  • Can I dropoff the car in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, San Diego, or anywhere in Southern California?

For a nominal fee, I offer one-way rentals between SFO and your desired location (vice versa). Pricing can be viewed under Extras on the booking page.

  • How should I handle bridge tolls?

The vehicle license plates are registered with Fastrak. You do not need to stop at the toll plaza and you may use the Fastrak lanes. I will bill you at the end of your trip through the Turo App.

  • Do I need to wash the car when returning?

No, do not wash the car when returning. A cleaning fee will only be charged in severe cases related to the interior, e.g. spilled liquids, pet hair removal, smoke smell, etc.

  • Can I park my vehicle on your street while I enjoy your rental?

Yes, you can safely park your car on my street while you enjoy your rental. Plenty of free street parking, and it's also a very safe neighborhood.

  • Can I drink coffee in your car?

No beverages allowed in the car. There is no place to reliably put your drink without it spilling all over the interior. Only water is allowed in closed container.

  • How do I add a second or third driver to the trip?

Before adding another driver, they would need to create a Turo account and get approved similar to how you, the primary driver was setup in the first place. Under the trip section there is a place to add the approved driver's email address. Excellent car. Fun to drive and amazing engine sound. Probably the most fun you can have at that price point. Got few compliments along the way. Kent was fast to respond and clarified any questions I had. He maintains the car well.
