Welcome to Hollywood Classic Cars fleet! This classic 1957 Ford Thunderbird "baby bird" is a true California survivor that has been mechanically restored to excellent condition. The Colonial White paint is shiny and gives contrast with the tuxedo black and white interior. The dash with metal and chrome knobs are fantastic 1950s glamorous style. This car is a great driving experience, comfortable for 2 people and cruises effortlessly down the freeway. The car has it's original 312ci V8 engine and automatic transmission. The trunk space is large and the soft top provides good protection for long drives or chilly nights. This T-bird is a super fun and nostalgic way to get sightsee around Southern California! Note- The car has 50s features including drum brakes and manual steering which require more effort and strength to operate than modern vehicles Note- We also have a port window hard top available on request.

The brakes were horrible. I don’t know anything about older cars but they told me it was missing a piece that boost the car on one side of the car. I asked if it affected the car and they said no, but the car leaned left every time I hit the brakes which almost got me into an accident. I was driving down a hill going 20 mph, I hit the brakes and the car slid into the other lane. The engine lets off crazy amounts of heat, I had to take of my shoes driving. I messaged them to tell them all of this and they kept making excuses for it. I asked them to tow it and they wanted me to pay for it. The car shouldn’t be on the road, it was bad
We try our best to prevent these issues. We take maintenance very seriously. We were not aware of a brake issue prior to this rental. We are servicing the brakes again.
Please note this client went 150 miles in traffic between 1-7pm pretty much non-stop. He had the option to tow the car free with Turo’s roadside assistance, but was unwilling to wait for a tow driver.
These are drum brakes and different from modern brakes. We advise clients to drive slower and allow more stopping distance.

Smooth process and was very accommodating. He was flexible when we were running late and had everything ready. Thank you.

Had a great experience renting this car for one day for our wedding. It is absolutely beautiful and looked so incredible in our photos. Will, who is one of the hosts met me to deliver the car. He was super nice and gave a clear explanation of the quirks of the car (which for a 70 year old car there were surprisingly few). If you have very limited experience with older cars (like me) you will find this is actually really easy to drive, just take it easy and keep in mind the steering is a little more resistant than a modern car. Overall amazing experience renting from these hosts and highly recommend them.

Hollywood Classic Cars was so amazing to work with. They were very responsive and took time to answer any questions we had. They were flexible in us changing our pick up times. The pick up and drop off were easy. The car was in top condition and well cared for. We would definitely use them again!
