Description

You will absolutely love this car! This 2018 Tesla Model 3 (Long Range model) is loaded with extras! Most importantly, it's got Enhanced Autopilot AND the “Full Self Driving” features! Yes, this Tesla is already equipped with the FSD (aka "HW3") computer for Enhanced Autopilot and “Full Self Driving” features. This is high performance AND environmentally friendly, all in one. This means you'll get to try out all of Tesla's advanced driving features: adaptive cruise control, auto-steering, navigate on autopilot, auto-parking, and the famous advanced summon feature! You'll absolutely love the Autopilot features, especially for highway driving and long road trips. This Model 3 is the Long Range model, rated for over 310 miles on a full charge. In fact, because it's RWD drive train, this is actually Tesla's longest range Model 3 vehicle ever, even longer range than the current top-end AWD models they sell. If you're new to electric vehicles, then you'll love the Tesla Model 3 experience. And if you're already a Tesla fan like me, then you'll appreciate this baby that I've taken care of for the past 2 years. It's always been garaged. This Tesla Model 3 will be delivered with minimum 60% (186mi) charge and must be returned with EQUAL or GREATER charge, or $29 post-trip recharge fee will apply. The car will be delivered to you CLEAN, with common interior surfaces wiped down. If you would like to request a FULL CAR WASH before the car is delivered to you, please just message me to let me know you want this. Please NOTE: if this is requested, you will also be expected to return the car in the same pristine condition, by doing a full car wash before you drop off the car. Alternately, you can pre-pay for the post-trip cleaning EXTRA option. Hope you enjoy your travels in an emission-free Tesla! CAUTION! Once you drive this Tesla, you may then be persuaded to go out and buy one! And if you would like to consider buying your own Tesla vehicle, please use my referral link to receive 1,000 free Supercharger miles with your new purchase: https://ts.la/bobby88980

A full charge holds about 75 kW, and has an EPA-rated range of 310 miles. (Efficiency goes down if you drive fast.) Please see FAQ for more details on Supercharging. Again, if you choose to use the Tesla Superchargers to charge the car, I will be billing you after the rental, at $0.28 - $0.45 per kW charged. Allowing the battery to hit zero charge can result in severe fees and possible battery replacement To familiarize and get to know this Tesla Model 3 ahead of your rental, please see these great videos from Tesla: https://www.tesla.com/support/model-3-videos

Faqs

  • How and where to charge the Tesla Model 3? (Superchargers)

Tesla has a nationwide network of Supercharger stations, spread out on highway and suburban locations. (There are 4-5 Supercharger stations in Las Vegas alone.) Here's how to find Tesla Superchargers: On your center touchscreen console, press the "lightning rod" ⚡️ symbol button on the lower right corner of the map screen. All the nearby Supercharging locations will show up on the touchscreen, and then you can just press to choose one, and navigate there. Once you plug in, it'll give you a time estimate on how long to charge. Normally, it takes between 30 to 60 minutes to charge. Once done, just make sure to NEVER let your car idle at the Supercharger station, as there's an idling penalty of $1.50 per minute. PLEASE BE AWARE: YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL SUPERCHARGING IDLING PENALTY CHARGES. (So in other words, please stay by the car when you're charging, and don't go off and watch a movie at a theater.) You will be responsible for all Supercharging costs, at $0.28 - $0.45 per kW used. (Or you can purchase the Unlimited Miles & FREE Charging option under “Extras”.) *NOTE: We set the Tesla to charge to 90% because the last 10% will take much, much longer to charge due to battery physics.

  • How to plan long road trips, and find charging stations along the way?

This is easy. The Tesla Model 3 has an amazing GPS Navigation system, and all you need to do is to type in the address of the location where you want to go. If the distance is further than what your car charge can handle, the navigation system will automatically insert charging stops at Tesla Supercharging stations along the route. You'll see a full summary before you start your trip, including any and all charging stops along the way. It'll also give you a time estimate for when you'll reach each stop, as well as the final location. It's super easy!

Was the best at service I would definitely rent again

The car couldn’t make the trip. I chose this car because it was the “long range, duel motor” model. My trip was to go up to Reno/Tahoe for work from Las Vegas. I talked to Bobby (Owner) about this and it was approved and there were no indications that I would have any issues. While on the trip up to Reno, I realized the battery was draining very quickly and I would not make it to the charging destination unless I went 5 mph under the speed limit the rest of the way. I made it and charged it to 90% as requested by the owner. Once I got on the road again, it was obvious I was rapidly losing battery and soon after, the car started to alert me to alter my speed in order to make it to the next charging station. I realized there was a very real chance I would get stranded in the middle of the desert. The car continued to warn me to go slower and slower. Once it got to 15mph under the speed limit, I had to make the decision to turn back and return the car. It was clear it could not make it from one station to the next. The route was mostly flat road and the wind that day was light so there weren’t adverse factors causing the car to struggle. If I had known there was a chance the car couldn’t make the distance between stations, I wouldn’t have rented it. For this mistake, not only did I have to drive an extra 4.5 hours, lose a day of work, and rent another car, I also had to pay for half of the entire rental amount even though it was a complete disaster. Turo customer service is the worst I’ve ever experienced. Their customer is the car owner, not you, the renter, so keep it in mind that you have no rights or protection should anything go wrong. I would never use Turo again and advise everyone I know not to, as well.
