Let me say I am new to Turo and Dave left a helluva first impression on me and really raised the bar on how I see hosts on this app now. Coming into this I never had the chance to drive a Tesla, let alone a gem mint 2020 model S. By the end of my 4 day rental, I was convinced that EVs will be the true standard of transportation of the future and that I’ll be buying one for myself within the next year. I was nervous at first, but Dave sat with me for an hour long test drive when I picked it up and took the time out of his day to teach me everything he knew about the vehicle until I was comfortable. I can honestly say I have never met a host ON ANY APP with that level of care, professionalism, and technical prowess that I saw in Dave. You can feel the passion he has for the technology behind his voice when he explains things to you. If you are skeptical about driving an EV, Dave offers one of those rare opportunities to have an affordable, long term rental that gives you a taste of the future. If I ever find myself back on Oahu, I’m coming straight back to rent from him. Also @dave if you manage to actually own the Tesla truck, I’ll be one of your first renters haha. Mahalo!

Best vehicle I’ve ever driven hands down - and exceptional host. John was fantastic and even helped me out finding cool places to go to really enjoy the ride.
Brooks was amazing. She dropped the car off and picked it up and was on time for both. She also provided us with a number of great recommendations for around the island. The car itself was easy to drive, safe, and clean. Brooks also leaves hand sanitizer and lysol wipes in the car, which was a really nice touch. Overall, five stars -- highly recommend.
The car was clean, got great gas mileage, and David was a pleasure to work with.
The car was so nice and fun to drive around the island, we ended up needing it for an extra day and he approved it. Great communication, friendly and very was ready and full of fuel when we picked it up :)
Great experience, highly recommend renting this Tesla over the others. For first time Tesla drivers John does a great walk through on all the bells and whistles that you will want to test out. I’m sold on Tesla after this experience. Best car ever
John was a great host. His Model S was in mint condition, and he took his personal time before the start of my trip to help me get familiarized with its various driving functions and systems. Would absolutely reccomend renting this car to anyone interested in Teslas or looking for a fun and fast car for thier vacation.
Tesla S model Ludicrous is insane. This car is highly underrated for all it has to offer. If I wasn't a 4*4 diesel guy would be my next purchase for sure! John was prompt, easy to talk to, and excited to show off his car. If anyone is looking for a above board experience, this is your car. Oh, and John if you get the truck we where talking about I'll be back to rent that!! John was very helpful

I would highly highly recommend renting a car through this host, Max. This was only my second time driving an electric vehicle(first time having my own for a few days) and I have course had some questions. Max did a great job of answering all the questions I had and more. The car is incredible, and there is absolutely nothing that compares to driving a model 3 around Oahu. I had no issues finding a charging station when I needed one and with the rapid charging HECO attachment that was in the car for my use, the car fully charged in about two hours and cost around $25. Eco-Friendly and Fast, a rare and exciting combination in a vehicle.
Ikaika's car was perfect for visiting Hawaii. It was the perfect size for parking in most places. It has all of the amenities you would like to see in a car. Ikaika was a great host. Please read the rules carefully on his profile. Besides that, I would definitely rent with him again.
Hertz is closed on Saturdays and that's when I needed a vehicle. This one was available. It came with a full tank of gas and was the cleanest rental vehicle I have ever been in.

This was my first Turo experience. The process was smooth, efficient, and COVID safe. The car ran great and had all the technology you desire for getting around town. Ikaika was a great host. I would highly recommend.

5 stars for sure! When my minivan was in the transmission shop for 1 week I was able to rent Kevin’s Nissan Versa to get around. The car was clean and got me and my kids around the island for school, activities and sports with no issues. Kevin was super fast with communication and the whole transaction was smooth and easy. This was such a fun car to drive and Donald was an excellent host. We pretty much covered the entire island and took full advantage of the retractable roof except when it was raining. Keep in mind that is car is 2008 so there may be a few minor items that might not work. As an example, the low tire pressure indicator was on but Donald assured me that the tire pressure was fine and it was a faulty indicator light. I had an issue with the passenger side wiper blade and Donald promptly came to me and replaced it. It is a two seater with limited trunk space. If you are looking for a fun vehicle for yourself or you +1, this is a great option.
