Guidelines

I will meet you to drop off the keys. Car will have a full tank of gas and will have been cleaned, vacuumed and disinfected. ! IMPORTANT NOTICE ! No pets. No smoking. No eating In the car. Stay on PAVED ROADS ONLY. PLEASE return the car as you received it (Washed, vacuumed & fueled without damage) Be mindful that host is personally sharing their vehicles so kindly treat them as if they were your own. Cleaning, Fuel, Smoking, Damage and Insurance guidelines in cooperation with Turo for this vehicle are as follows: CLEANING: Common Turo etiquette include returning the vehicle clean. A $60 fee will be charged after checkout if vehicle is not returned in the condition it was received (Washed & vacuumed). NOTE IN MANY CASES THERE IS A RESERVATION IMMEDIATELY AFTER YOURS. RETURNING THE VEHICLE AS YOU RECEIVED IT IS NECESSARY FOR THE NEXT RENTER. YOUR CONSIDERATION IS GREATLY APPRECIATED. Turo also charges separately for vehicles returned extremely dirty that require expert detailing. You will be subject to the detailing cost A SAND REMOVAL FEE as well as Turo’s penalty along with a negative review which will affect your ability to rent in the future. Contact me for car washing sites on the Island. SMOKING: Turo prohibits smoking in any vehicle and guest are subject to penalties and possible termination from the platform if smoke is detected at checkout. FUEL: Turo and it’s host also require returning the vehicle at the same gas level as when you received it or a $75 fee will be charged after checkout. DAMAGES: You are subject to any physical damage, wear and tear to the exterior or interior of the vehicle during your rental period. Standard Turo claims procedures apply. DRIVERS: Only Turo verified approved drivers are covered by Liberty Mutual Insurance. Any anticipated drivers must be added to the reservation to be covered for damages to avoid out of pocket expenses. For instruction to add a driver contact myself or Turo support. TICKETS: Parking and citation tickets will be renters financial responsibility and will be charged upon receipt of such citation. KEYS: Lost, stolen or damaged keys such as keys that are no longer being detected in the vehicle means that you got the key wet (It is not a battery issue). You will be responsible for the cost of the key and will be charged after checkout. As opposed to being a big corporation like Enterprise or Hertz, these vehicles are our livelihood. So thank you for your support and anticipated cooperation and respect for the vehicle. Other than that, drive safely and enjoy your journey around Big Island!

Really terrible car. Ruined our entire trip while the owner of the vehicle was in Costa Rica. Oil needed changing, transmission overheating issues and etc. Not only all that but we ended up getting stuck in the darkness for hours with no service at 2am. We even vacuumed for her and were late to the airport. GwenlynChai is probably a good person but her car is horrible, horrendous, and any other descriptor that describes something bad or similar to bad. Turo is helping us with this matter.

Aloha Chris, I truly apologize for the inconvenience that my car has brought upon you. My car has actually been serviced a little less than a month before renting it out to you as there is a sticker from the most recent oil change. This is the first time I’ve had of any issues with this cad and future trips have been canceled until the problem is solved. Again, I apologize for the all inconvenience.
