I rented this car because it was the only one available. That's how I found out how much fun it is to drive :) It's great being able to see all around. It was fun making children smile. My only issue was it got cold and windy at higher elevation. Bring a jacket.

This was a great choice for zipping along the island! The car was clean and ready on time, and fit the 5 of us just fine. We had it all day and barely used any gas, and the Apple navigation system works better than my brand new 2020 vehicle back home! Josh was responsive and invested, letting us know that if we ran into any trouble with the car or lost the keys, to just get a hold of him. I’m a new fan of this app, and these budget friendly choices!

This is basically a brand new car and it’s super fun to ride around the Big Island in it. It handles well, was safe in the rain (very important here), and the electronics were easy to use. Having the screen show maps and directions made life a lot easier. Mahikenani was very communicative, kind, and easy to work with. At the end of our trip when we were dropping off the car, our Lyft didn’t show up. In the dark and rain we were scrambling, calling every cab company around to find a way to make our flight, but her sister saved our butts by giving us a ride herself! Awesome family. 10/10 would again!!!!

Great car! Loved having the convertible down during our trip. The tire pressure sensor and engine light was a little messed up, which scared us at first. John immediately explained what to do in scenarios and was quick and easy to communicate with. Highly recommend you book with John!

This car was great for getting us around Big Island and we were able to visit many spots all around the island. In some rugged areas we had to park and get locals to take us further in their trucks, but that's not hard to get done. It's comfortable ride and easy to drive as well, would highly recommend.

Rosbel was very hospitable, when picking us up and dropping us back off at the airport. The car was clean, a great drive, and had no problems at all, while traveling across the island.

Ronald was great! He made me feel at home the minute I stepped off the plane. He went out of his way to give me the locals’ perspective on what to do (and not to do) before I even left to go to Hawaii. I had a small fender bender with his car and he was nothing but helpful in resolving the issue in the most friendly manner. Consider yourself lucky if you are so fortunate as to be able to use his car.

Lahi was extremely flexible and saved our tail. I’m sure she’d be the first to tell you the car isn’t anything great but it’s a perfect little car to get you to the market or beach and back. Price was great and again, the owner makes it well worth it. Would recommend!

What a thrill, a fun way to explore. I would recommend if you plan to take it throughout Kona, however if you plan to head north there are very strong winds coming off the mountain and often rain towards Waimea, maybe consider another option if your trip takes you there. As you can see in the photos this is a manual transmission! If you know how to drive stick, it’s a blast, plenty of power to get up and down the hills.

Very good experience overall! Would only suggest putting the rubber carpets (to avoid dirt in the car) and an easier return location (especially if returning at night).

Really nice brand new car. Drives super smooth and has great features like wireless charging spot for your phone, apple play, and corner assist. It’s a hybrid which is great because gas prices on BI are very high. We only used half a tank of gas and explored the whole way around the island.
