Can I smoke in the car?
No, there will be a $250 smoking fee, people try to avoid this by opening the windows and having the air vents blowing at 100%, even paying to have the car cleaned professionally and putting scent bombs or air fresheners, thankfully we have a proprietary way of proving if anyone has smoked and currently have a perfect track record of catching every single guest who decided to smoke in the car.
Should I charge the Tesla 100%?
No, typically the most you truly need to get it to is 80% for daily driving, in fact, there is no need to charge to 100% for the first 1%-80% should be around 20-30 minutes, the last 20% always takes about another 30 mins to charge the last bit
How do I pay tolls?
There is a toll pass in the car and the serial number in the car detail description on turo, any tolls will be documented and verified by turo within the day and sent as an invoice to you along with any other final parts to the invoices
How do I pay for supercharging?
At the end of the trip, any final invoices from supercharging fees will be sent to you through the app to pay as a notification.
Can I bring pets?
Yes, we have a special pet cleaning fee for owners for this reason. Be advised if you do not add the pet cleaning fee, we will be forced to charge the $150 cleaning fee. Just like the smoking evidence, we have a proprietary way of proving if anyone has brought a pet onboard without notice
How can I find superchargers?
On the screen, on the far right side of the screen, there will be a lighting bolt symbol, it will then display all nearby superchargers. You may also press both scroll wheel buttons on the steering wheel and say "take me to a supercharger"
Are there any places I can charge for free?
Yes, but these locations are not superchargers, they are ideal if you are spending a few hours at those specific locations and are typically at malls, grocery stores, and movie theaters. there is a provided adaptor in the car for these specific locations. the charging speed is more like 6-7 hours to charge from 10-85% one well-known brand that offers this is called Volta. there is an app that shows these locations around Chicagoland.

Andres was very helpful and Tesla was awesome! The biggest challenge about the rental was the difficulty of finding charging stations. I had business in rural Indiana and an EV is NOT recommended.
Level 2 charging can take several hours and Superchargers are limited to cities 35-40 miles away.
I believe this is our future, but the infrastructure is just not ready in parts of the country.
Recommendation: Do not assume….. Do your homework before renting an EV and ensure fast charging ports are readily available along your trip!
