Description
This is a 1978 VW WESTFALIA CAMPER! Very rare DELUXE GERMAN EDITION! The bus (we call her Butterscotch) has a working sink, and pre-plumbed propane 2-burner stove. Nice interior and Bluetooth stereo that connects to all phones. She has the larger engine (2000cc) and the freeway gearing so she can get up and go and has no problem on hills. She can sleep up to 4 adults with 2 in the pop top and 2 on the bottom fold out Z bed. She has working electrical for city hook ups, plug-ins for phone and tablet charging. She has 3-point seat belts and power breaks. She also has custom curtains, fold-out table, and bug screen. Truly a great and unique time capsule! She gets tons of attention and lots of peace signs. She is mechanically perfect with new fuel lines and brakes, plus a new clutch! She is a stick shift, so if you can’t drive stick, this isn’t the bus for you. No smoking and no dogs! Comes complete with camping equipment, including camp chairs, pots, pans, silverware, plates, lanterns, etc. Surf and bike racks available for a small fee. You will love her! She has been all the way from Michigan to Malibu and many amazing places in-between!

Guidelines
No pets, no smoking, and car IS stick shift!! If you can’t drive stick this ain’t the bus for you! These old Vw buses should not be driven over 65MPH for extended time( more than a couple of hours), they will over heat and you will have to pull over for about 30 min and let it cool down. you should just cruise and enjoy the ride!

Sorry not really ! It’s designed for 4 max , the back bench seat can comfortable fit 2 children in car seats or 2 normal sized adults very comfortably.

The bus was wonderful. All the best stuff you want in a vintage Vw camper bus. Drives straight, brakes straight. 2.0 liter fi pulls out and cruises at 70. I kept at 60-65. Just a little hiccup before I dropped it off and Chuck made my day with all the service and accommodations you can imagine. Highly recommend!

T2 is such a beautiful car, chuck is very nice and responsive in replying all the messages and concerns. The only unfortunate thing is the car broken down in the middle of the freeway and I have to call 911 for towing off the freeway, but Chuck handled the rest very nicely and timely so I didn’t feel that bad about our plan. That actually is another highlight of the trip. I would love to rent from Chuck again.
