How do I charge the car?
The car has a built-in navigation system which will show you all the supercharging stations nearby your area, you just need to go there and plug the charger in, no payment required on-site* * You won't have to pay on-site, all the cost will go to my credit card associated with my Tesla account and I will ask for reimbursement of the cost after the rent is complete. There are other Destination chargers available that will show up on the map as grey icons. These are usually slow charging but most are free to use.
How do I unlock the car?
There are 2 ways to unlock the car. The first will be using the app on your phone. You will be given access to the app prior to delivery of the car. The app has lock, unlock features and acts as a key for the car. Secondly you can Tap the key card against the driver side door pillar. The mirrors will unfold, alerting you the car is unlocked
Is charging free at Tesla supercharging stations?
No, the guest will pay for charging cost at the end of your trip.
How do I start the car?
Place the key in the square on the console behind the cup holders. Place your foot on the brake and pulling the gear stalk down once will put the car in DRIVE and pushing the gear stalk up will put the car in REVERSE. Occasionally, if you’ve gotten out and gotten back in, the screen will tell you to put the key card on the console.
How do I use autopilot?
Get to a comfortable cruising speed, set cruise control and then turn it on. You can do so by pulling down the right hand stalk twice quickly. To confirm you're in Autopilot mode, you'll see the Auto-steering wheel icon turn blue in the driver's display near the speedometer. Loosen your grip on the wheel, and you'll sense resistance from the steering wheel and then feel the car steering itself. **Please make sure to pay attention to the road and keep at least 1 hand on the wheel for your safety while in Auto-Pilot Mode.**
