Description

Aloha! Mahalo for viewing the description of our Model 3 🙏. There truly is nothing like the Tesla experience, the clean interior layout, instant torque, driving assist features, and insane outward visibility are amazing👍. The glass roof is strong enough to support the weight of 2 fully grow elephants 🐘. Featuring autopilot the car can steer, accelerate and brake automatically within its lane 😎. The 15” touchscreen is very intuitive and makes the interior feel very open and clean. There are 2 built in wireless charging pads in the center console 📲. You are likely wondering about range and charging. In the rear trunk you will find two charging options for your use.. A public charger adapter for standard level 2 chargers and a chademo dc fast charging adapter. With the chademo adapter you may replenish the battery in approximately one hour😉. Level 2 public charging is available very widely, and ranges from free to $2 per hour. You will find level 2 chargers at most shopping centers and hotels. Level 3 dc fast charging is available in multiple locations (Hilo, kea’au, Pahoa, pahala, lapahoehoe, Waimea, Waikoloa, and Kailua Kona) and costs & 0.63/kWh or less. We have all of these locations stored in the favorites tab in the navigation app that’s built into the car :) Hilo to Kona is no problem with this model and battery size :) To go over and back you will need a quick top off though, 20-30mins on a dc fast charger, or a couple hours at a regular public level 2 charger. We take care of our vehicles and respectful ask our customers to do the same. Being in the tropics this requires a little extra consideration. Rats and cockroaches are all too prevalent, for this reason please do not leave wrappers or crumbs in the car for any length of time. You will find this to be very common. In the respect for our and future guests comfort and health we also kindly request that the vehicle remain smoke and vape free. We humbly ask again for all customers to follow the guidance of NO SMOKING Please pull over when you must. Suggested list of apps for charging Charge point Greenlots PlugShare Mahalo!

  • Can you make it from Hilo to Kona and back on a charge?

Yes you can, but not without special consideration :) Even in a typical gas car you want to make this trip starting with a full tank, start full and drive reasonable and you will make it back, it’s much less stressful if you can grab some energy at one of the many charging locations near your destination.. an hour on a public level 2 charger or 15 minutes on a dc fast charger should take away all range anxiety.

  • Which apps are required for charging?

Most public level 2 chargers are charge point All dc fast chargers are Greenlots There are a handful of op connect chargers (Kaiser locations and Safeway Kona) And one SemaConnect station (Costco)

Would definitely recommend James and this Tesla. James was so helpful and made my experience driving a Tesla for the first time worth it. Very responsive and kept me updated on any issues with charging stations. Looking forward to visiting the island again and enjoying the Tesla again!

James was great help during the whole time. I have a Tesla myself but there were a few different features on Model3 and charging was very different from I have been doing. He answered my questions really fast and gave me a lot of tips finding local gems. I felt like I have a private tour guide!! Thank you so much James and Erica!!
