Description

TESLA MODEL 3: the most anticipated car in the world! Drive the future! You will love this car! My Tesla Model 3’s released to the public. It comes with Enhanced Autopilot (Beta) that will match speed to traffic conditions, keep within a lane, automatically change lanes, transition from one freeway to another, exit the freeway, and self-park at your destination plus full Self-Driving capability (when available). You're still responsible for safety and you must maintain total control of this car at all times, as it is incredibly fast and quiet. If not driven responsibly it has the potential to do serious harm to yourself and other road users. Automatic emergency braking and collision avoidance with 8 airbags, as well as electronic stability and traction control. Aerodynamic wheels (longer range) and better ride. Premium heated Vegan seating and cabin materials throughout, including open pore wood trim and two rear USBs 12-way, power adjustable front seats, steering column and side mirrors, with custom driver profiles. Premium audio system with more power, tweeters, surround speakers and subwoofer. Tinted all-glass roof with ultraviolet and infrared protection. Auto-dimming, power folding, heated side mirrors, LED fog lamps. Center console with covered storage and docking for two smartphones, LTE connectivity, keyless entry, and so much more! This wonderful luxury sedan can be rented to test out before buying one yourself or just having some fun!

Guidelines

When you receive the Model 3, it will be charged above 70% (unless requested to be charged more). It's recommended for daily driving to charge to 90% for battery conservation. If traveling longer distances, it's ok to charge 100%. If you are traveling: you can charge basically anywhere there is a wall outlet. Supercharging are shown on the display map for ease of usability. Also listed here: https://www.tesla.com/supercharger. Any supercharger fees will be added as a on-trip ev changes. There are 1000's more available charging spots you can find here: https://www.plugshare.com. Many hotels and Airbnb's offer free plug-ups for guests. Plus, we include an 110V charger cable, if needed. Charging is as easy as pumping gas. Just plug-up and the car does the rest. It will show the status on the 15" touchscreen. Absolutely: No smoking. No open food or drinks. No animals. No drag racing or hard accelerations or decelerations. Our Tesla can only be driven in the USA and Canada, and NOT IN MEXICO. Please do NOT wash the Tesla, wipe it with anything, or spray anything inside, as the car may be damaged. The Tesla is always professionally detailed with care. Please do not bring sand, dirt, sharp objects inside the Tesla to avoid damage to seats and interior trim. Limit excess lotions (Sunscreen, suntan, moistures, etc.). Please do NOT transport anything that can leak and cause damage. If you have a child car seat, please use a blanket to protect the seating material.. Journalists not permitted. Absolutely no disassembly or inspection allowed. No unauthorized publishing of vehicle data, photos, or video. This is not a press loaner or engineering vehicle. Please be careful of curbs and other objects that may hit the bumpers or wheel rims of the vehicle. This vehicle sits fairly low to the ground, and it is easy to scrape the bumpers and wheels on curbs. While in Reverse the rear-view screen white guide-lines are representative of the wheels' positions, so be careful as you back-up. Remember, any damage you cause is your responsibility, as with any rental car firm, and you will be charged for repair costs, which can be expensive.

Faqs

  • Do i return the vehicle washed and battery charged?

Due to the Tesla being very new we like to wash it ourselves. The auto car wash creates abrasion that can damage the clear coat. Returning at full-charge level not needed. However, charging fees apply and will be added to your Turo bill to cover the cost of recharging to level at pick-up. Make sure not to return it with less than 10% battery. If less than 10%, a $10 convenience fee will apply.

Andrei was very good at communicating and arranging pick up and drop off of his vehicle with me. My flight was delayed and he worked with me to help me still be able to get in his Tesla. The vehicle was a great vehicle to rent if you are considering the purchase of one or if you prefer electric vehicles.

The address for pick up was different than what Turo had. Seemed odd. Quite a few scrapes and damage on the car, made sure we documented it. Got in the car to drive away... 30 mins in, we notice how dirty the inside of the car is... primarily the back seat. The window had disgusting hand prints from a child all over it, There was garbage in the doors, used forks in the center console. Not clean at all. The tire pressure indicator went off about 10 mins into our drive. We had to stop and check the tire pressure, and fill up two tires. On the way to our location, we got pulled over for expired tags. There was no updated registration in the car either. It was 3 months expired. As well as there was no front license plate. Additionally, When the air conditioning turns on, it fills the car with a bad moldy smell. Not surprised with how dirty this car was... super disappointed because for two days, it charged me $439. Absolutely not worth it. Try another Tesla owner.

First and foremost, I will say that Andrei was very nice. This has nothing to do with his personality at all but rather the condition of the car. I purchased a day in the Tesla to surprise my dad for Father's Day! It was supposed to be very exciting for us and I was looking forward to picking it up. I get to Andrei's house and he was very nice and also spent some time going over the basics of the car, which I appreciated. However, the car was filthy. When I read the reviews for this Tesla, most people said it was very clean and almost exactly in the condition the listing stated. Which is why I was so shocked at the condition of the car. Inside the car there was trash, along with coins, his mask for COVID safety (which I had to touch to move - that's unsanitary!), a child's toy, his tennis shoes, some rags, and trash in the trunk. What really irked me was how filthy the seats were. It looked like his kids spilled something in the back seat, which I had to clean before my mom could sit in the back seat. I even had to ask Andrei if he wanted his shoes out of the trunk and a key I found. He didn't seem bothered by how messy or dirty the car was (like this was normal). The description noted in Turo stated that he likes to wash the car himself, that you are not allowed to eat or drink in the car, and to treat it like you would a rental car makes no sense considering the condition I saw. I would rather go to a rental car company than rent through here since I know most of those cars are clean. So, I decided to just go with it. I cleaned out the car and put his personal items in the trunk in a bag. I cleaned off the seats and we went on our way. Then, the cherry on top was noticed. We had already driven 60 miles (BTW, my dad did not see this when he got in because I was surprising him with the car), my dad noticed that the back tires were bald. I am talking scary bald. Like they need to be changed immediately. Right then and there, we didn't want to drive the car anymore but we had to drive it home another 60 miles. My dad was a really good sport about it either way and he was happy to drive a Tesla but this was not the experience I would want him to have. I would caution anyone who is renting this car as a luxury vehicle or as a gift to someone to think twice. I had to go above and beyond to get the car in an acceptable condition before my dad got it. AND at the price I paid with taxes and insurance, it came out to $250! This was completely unacceptable to me for the condition of the car I received. I will likely avoid using Turo again if this is how most of the cars are listed.

Andrei's response

Although we strive to make every customer satisfied we realize that some people are renting for totally different reasons. More than 50 people were very pleased with the experience and if there was something they didn’t like, they communicated and problem was solved. If no communication before or during the trip exists, there is no way to address any of the issues. At any point in time, if any car is not clean, safe..etc please communicate or refuse the car if problem can’t be solved.
