ABOUT EVs - SUPER IMPORTANT!!! To help ensure your vehicle is full when you arrive, we advise you book the vehicle 8-12 hours before you intend to arrive. The reason for this is because Turo allows the car to be booked back to back (there's no way for us to change that) and if the prior guest brings it back empty, it will not be full for you. Giving a buffer at the beginning will help ensure we have time to charge the car. Also as a reminder, be sure to check out what charging stations are available along the routes you'll be taking. A great app that's highly rated for finding them is called PlugShare and it's available for all devices. Keep in mind that some charging stations will cost money and you'll need to have your own account. PlugShare should provide information about which ones cost money and which ones don't. TESLA SUPERCHARGING STATIONS Supercharging stations are a fast and convenient way to charge the car (usually takes under an hour). They charge the owner of the car though, so you will see a reimbursement request come through for the energy used. Currently it runs $0.28/kWh. • How do I charge during my trip?

  Telsa offers two types of charging, level 2 and Supercharging. Both can be located on the in-car screen with the level 2 chargers appearing in grey and the Superchargers appearing in red. The Superchargers are the fastest way to charge and can usually fill the car in under an hour. These chargers cost $0.28/kWh and this cost will be requested through a reimbursement after you return the vehicle. The level 2 chargers are usually free but not always available to the public (i.e. sometimes you have to be a guest at a hotel to use theirs). They will take longer to fully charge (6-8 hours if near empty), but are a good option if you are trying to do an activity while the car is charging like dinner or a movie. Finally, there is also a charging cable in the trunk that can be used with a 120V (normal) or certain 240V outlets. The 120V option is rather slow adds around 3 miles per hour of charging. The 240V option will do a full charge overnight usually.
