Description

This car and all my cars are immaculately maintained and in like new shape. This car was just recently CPO certified by Porsche and has a 2 year unlimited bumper to bumper warranty. Absolute everything on it works and the car looks and drives amazing! New Tires, rotors, pads, as part of the CPO process on 1-24-20 I have owned and still own a lot of nice cars and while I can't pick my absolute favorite, of the 3 911's I've had this one is my favorite. My other 2 were a newer 2015 991.1 4S and an older 1978 930. The older 930 was just too primitive, hard to drive and frankly slow. The newer 991 was just too.... refined I would say. Absolutely a great car but did too much of the driving for you and was a bit of a disconnected driving experience. Push the gas, direct the car in the general direction and bam you're there. This one is my Goldilocks Porsche and let me explain why. 1)It's a GTS. The GTS is basically a fully loaded 4s with a little more power, better torque curve, and a better exhaust note. It is also tuned to handle better and was pitched to people who wanted the naturally aspirated engine and more performance/handling. Model wise it is above the 4s but below the Turbo. It has the same body and look as the turbo. It is also lower to the ground. 2) This is a 2012 and the last year of the 997.2 model. The interior is very similar to the 991 that followed but has a more traditional Porsche layout. It also makes more horsepower then the 991. 3) It is fully loaded including, heated/cooled seats, chrono package, sport exhaust, Bose stereo, and it my opinion a great color combo. 4) The engine sounds absolutely amazing on it. I don't care what anyone says, way better then the 991 or a turbo. It's one of the few cars I drive primarily with the radio off. 5) Size wise it's basically the same as the 991 but for me it feels smaller from the inside and is easier to get into (I'm 6'2 210). 6) I know this is a small thing but I love the view from inside looking out the windshield. The 997 has headlights/front wheel wells that are more protruded vs the 991 that followed. You can see this when looking out and in my opinion looks great. 7) I'm sure there is more but I'm ending here and in my opinion this is the biggest selling point. This car is not so technologically advanced that you no longer feel the road. This car is an absolute blast to drive. You feel the road in the steering, in the gas pedal, in the brake pedal, You are just totally connected. I bet this is also why these cars are now appreciating in price. This particular model is worth about $60-$70k and the hard tops are actually selling for about $20k more. Is the 991 or the new 992 better on paper and on a race track in every way imaginable then this car? I have no doubt that yes! Are they more fun to drive? In my opinion absolutely not. So if you're a driver I highly recommend you try this car out!
