Description

This unique vehicle is FUN...with a manual (or stick shift) transmission. Please search to rent an automatic if you don't already know how to drive it, not the vehicle to learn in. This is an SL edition-it has a windshield, radio/speakers, bluetooth, back-up camera & added LED colored lights...everything is waterproof but not recommended to drive in rain due to limited traction of single rear tire. GA classifies it as an "Autocycle", which is the official designation in most states...helmets & eye protection are required...although a motorcycle endorsement on your license is not required. You should check with the corresponding state laws regarding helmets etc. >I am not responsible if you are not in compliance.< I recommend your own, but you can borrow my helmets & safety glasses if you want/need them. ***A review from Forbes*** They stood in single file lines winding from the curb to the yard. Everyone wanted a ride. Parents poked cameras over shoulders to get a snapshot and a better spot in line. They called it Batmobile, go-kart, trike/bike, three-wheeler, the Thing. The Thing was a Polaris Slingshot. The reaction was the same regardless of age: a grin rising with the engine note, then the outside hand shot out for the awww shucks bar on the frame, and then, the best part, an eruption of sound as if the engine were ripping out of their chest. Afterward, everyone loved it. And everyone said it was fun. The dozens who rode and the many more who saw said, “What is that thing?” Polaris Slingshot is what it isn’t: It is neither car nor motorcycle. It’s missing a lot of things besides a roof. It doesn’t have doors, it doesn’t have a fourth wheel, it doesn’t have vents or heating and air conditioning, doesn’t have modern conveniences such as steering wheel controls, or windshield wipers because there isn’t much of a windshield. What the three-wheeler has in abundance is its reason for being: fun.

It has a Chevrolet Ecotec 2.4L 4cyl motor, manual shift trans, single-side swingarm, belt-driven rear wheel drive.

  • Where do you buy these? How much do those cost?

At any Polaris Indian motorcycle dealer, new ones run $25-40,000.
