My significant other and I were very excited to be renting this car for a 3 night trip in Appalachia. Unfortunately, the vehicle and overall experience fell well short of expectations based on the reviews and listing details. Firstly, the pickup location is not accessible by foot from CMH airport, as I wrongly believed it would be when I booked a rental car for specifically CMH airport thru Turo. I was confused when I arrived and Jonathan explained that I need to take an Uber to the location and that it's about $5 (it was about $15 before tip). Once we did arrive, pickup was smooth and Jonathan was courteous. The car was very clean and looked great inside & out. However, it quickly became apparent that the dial to activate the cruise control was broken, and therefore I was unable to use cruise control at all over the 500+ miles I drove. This was not disclosed prior to driving the car. Also, on the second to last day we had the car, we noticed that the A/C was not blowing cold air on some drives. This issue affected us greatly the next/last day, during which we had a long interrupted drive. This day, it only worked for a maximum of 10-20 minutes right after starting the engine before no longer blowing cold air. Lastly, the car was advertised to include a navigation system in addition to CarPlay capability. The car displayed a message that indicated that the navigation feature was not properly set up for use. We did use CarPlay on the final day we had the rental once we figured out how it needs to be hooked up to the USB port in the center console to function.
Overall, not what I expected and definitely a disappointment. Would have preferred to spend the same amount on a low or middle tier rental from a company at the airport and have everything function reliably and conveniently.
