I needed the car in a pinch and Michelle delivered. The car provided what I needed with only 12 hrs notice. It smelled like cigarette smoke and the key fob was damaged so that it was only operational for popping the trunk. Therefore I had to manually lock/unlock the car with the key. Overall positive experience.

Michelle was a great host for this trip. My reason for this rating is purely due to the Turo application itself. Turo boasts itself as a cheaper and easier alternative compared to typical rental car companies. This is simply not the case especially if you are under 26. All rental car companies charge a fee for drivers under 25 but for whatever reason Turo decided to up that to 26. This removes any financial incentive to chose them over your standard rental services. Additionally, these cars are not serviced or generally up-kept. You are truly rolling the dice with any given car. This car from the sound of it definitely has missed a few service check ups and could use some interior detailing.

The car smelled really bad with cigarette smoke. I am a non smoker and the smell was really bad. Instructions on how to find the parking garage was totally lacking. The latch to open the trunk was faulty and so had to load my luggage in the back seat, till I found a way to open it with the broken remote. Wasted more than an hour to locate the car. Host tried to help after repeated attempt.

Michelle's response

Out of 2000 trips you were the first that struggled to find the vehicle with the instructions provided, as well as photos of the exact spot. Trunk was absolutely not faulty you did not know how to operate it, it works by both touch and button. our initial attempt to find the car was to ask hertz where the car is despite instructions explaining to do otherwise. Not sure why you would take our your inability to follow basic instructions or operate a trunk latch on me but here we are
