Guidelines

There is a charge of $20 if car is brought back with less that 30 miles range. Please no smoking in the car there will be a $250 fee assessed for cleanup if we smell smoke after trip. Pets are also a no, and will be also part of the cleaning fee if we see that when car is returned. Tesla app access available for $25 extra.

Faqs

  • Will I receive the car with full charge?

    No, but that is for your benefit! Turo requires that you return the car in the same state that it was given to you. It takes about 30min to charge from 0% to 65%, but takes 1hr30min to go from 65% to 100%. Because I do not want you to have to sit at a supercharger for up to 2hrs at the end of your trip, I deliver the car with at least 65% battery, and therefore you are only required to return it with 65% battery. No long wait at the end of the rental! (this method of charging should also be used during the trip to save time, not just the return)

Car was embarrassing. Squealed loud every turn of the wheel. Squeaked every turn and bump. Super loud. Teslarosa was bad at communicating. Late getting there. I put the key and parking where I was told. I think that because I informed them of my dissatisfaction, they complained about a Tesla Super Station charge (which i paid at the station) then inferred that I didn't leave the key where they told me and didn't leave the parking pass. Teslarose didn't even care to discuss a partial refund. No place to leave video of the actual car I received but I have it if Turo wants it.

The car was filthy on the outside and smelled like smoke on the inside. The wheel made an embarrassingly loud creaking noise while driving that could even be heard while talking on the phone. The tire pressure light came on the next morning (I got the car in the evening and only drive to my hotel from the airport). The check in process was horrible. The guy parked the vehicle in the shuttle loading area of the airport, as shuttles were arriving and departing.. honking at me, making me, someone whose never even driven a Tesla before even more scared and nervous.. and rushed. I didn’t have the opportunity to really evaluate the vehicle with the host there. I had to stop what I was doing to meet a Tesla technician to service the vehicle (using my paid rental time). Overall a horrible first experience with Turo and Tesla unfortunately.

Renting the TeslaRosa was a great experience for my husband and I. The host was nice and went over the basics of the vehicle at pickup (which went smoothly and quickly). It definitely took some getting used to the car as we do not own electric vehicles (yet—husband wants one..lol), but overall it was a smooth ride for our little getaway. I love that the vehicle is quiet and all of its features. If my husband gets a Tesla I will stay away from Autopilot..lol! It was.....different. 🤣 Thanks again TeslaRosa! Will definitely consider renting from you again and will refer friends and family who inquire!
