AURA was a absolutely amazing!!! I was here on military orders they kept getting extended and they worked with me every step of the way !!! The leaf was a cute car and loved the low pricing on the charge rode really smoothly and the audio system was really nice too !

Here’s why they lose two stars: -1 star is from the fact that the vehicle was not ready for pickup at the negotiated time. Contacted them prior as requested via messages, they didn’t respond until after pickup time and offered many apologies. Unfortunately apologies don’t counter standing in a 107*F parking lot with no cover waiting for your vehicle. (Thanks Texas heat wave!) -1 star is also from the vehicle being undercharged. This is a short range all electric vehicle (roughly 150miles max range with AC on). The first thing Aura tells you is that you must have the battery above 80% when you return it. I turned on the vehicle to find it was at 74%. While this doesn’t seem like a lot, it very much is in the world of electric cars. If you’re going to provide an electric vehicle as a rental, it normally is above 90%, most usually it’s 100% full for the driver and “plugged in” waiting for you to leave. So versus a rental car service, I was missing “a quarter tank”, which in almost any situation you would be compensated for. My message back was, “you can return it as such”. I didn’t, and returned it with more battery knowing that likely the next person would be stuck in my situation. Finally, the car was “cleaned” but still dirty, could easily go see a car wash before use as they just sit in a dusty lot. The car should also have the “touch screen” areas disinfected as well. Mine came greasy and I had to clean it myself to not only feel safe using it, but also because it was actually unusable due to the glare from how nasty it was. Unfortunate. Might not use this service again for an electric vehicle for sure, but may chose a gas rental next time as maybe they are easier to manage.

The Nissan Leaf was a great vehicle to drive. It was a very smooth ride. The team at Aura was very quick in response to any questions you may have. I would definitely recommend a renter to give them a try.
