As with all my vehicle, there’s always something that makes it stand out over the majority of similar models. At first glance, this vehicle looks as ordinary as most. Not at all!! This Turbo Diesel Cruze RS has a very rare combination of options. But first… The Chevy Cruze has been known for its extraordinary high MPG… earning the phrase “gas sipper.” No gas here! This “Cruze, Turbo Diesel” has the highest MPG of any non hybrid or non EV build to date. It’s rated at 30 City / 52Hwy. That’s not even the best part. That’s only a bonus. The 2018 Cruze was the last model year Chevy peered the 6 speed manual transmission with the 240 ft lb torque turbo diesel power plant. The combination of the Turbo Diesel engine, paired with the 6 speed manual shift, along with the RS sport package is certainly a rare find, but makes this vehicle, “the most fun, economical car to drive, ever. The manual shift vehicle is becoming more and more harder to find these days, however there’s just those certain circumstances which makes the standard shift that more fun. Then to add a comfortable leather interior… and a “Corvette Red” color exterior was the icing on the cake. Now… Don’t get me wrong, it’s no Corvette, but will probably be the most fun economical (non hybrid or EV car you’ll ever drive. It was all these options put together in one car which created a vehicle (The perfect storm) that even the the journalist who write the final reviews were so excited to get their hands on. There were only two in the whole country for sale at time of purchase. Clearly a rare find. This one had under 18k miles on it. Looks, drives, and smells like it just came off the showroom floor. Oh ya… that’s cause, it did! What’s a fun red sporty car like this without lightly tinted glass? Oh ya…It’s got that too. As I mentioned earlier, this has the very comfortable heated leather seats. Also a heated steering wheel for those… hate to say it… cold mornings. The newly produced 1.6 liter, (137 horsepower, 240lbs ft of torque) GM diesel engine is the first, to be put in a GM passenger car in over 35 years. There’s so much more to say about this Cruze.
