Very convenient location from the cruise terminal (and the train station for that matter) for a day rental during a Le Havre port of call. I rented the car for a day trip to Bayeux. It worked out great!

I would have given this a five star rating but a week or two before my rental, my reservation was cancelled and I was given a more compact car for the same price I reserved an SUV. The SUV was “no longer available.” No idea why. This car did the job and my day wasn’t ruined , but I wanted the SUV because I’m a big and tall America guy who doesn’t fit comfortably in small European cars.

The host was really good and friendly, he offered to take us directly to our cruise ship and back (for an extra fee but it was the same as a taxi but less hassle so it was a great offer).

However, the car was in a terrible shape - really really dirty inside, with pet hair all over, the music media barely working, the error about tire pressure popped out once we started driving, and the back seats were converted to extra cargo space so if we wanted to take on two more people with us, they would have nowhere to sit.

The fuel in the tank was also not full and close to the minimum so we had to refuel shortly after taking the car.

All in all, we did manage to have a nice trip and all worked out and we didn’t expect a 5* luxury car but we honestly didn’t expect it to be that dirty that it was unpleasant to sit in.

Again, Ama as a host and a person is really nice and easy to communicate with but the car itself didn’t look taken good care of.
