I’m not really one to ever leave an off color review and for the most part, everything went smoothly. Was originally planning on picking up the car at curbside but it was an early arrival so the host parked in short term parking garage. No problem. I get it. Host left some cash for parking. Also fine, but the amount left wasn’t enough to cover the cost. The fuel was also not full. More like 3/4 full. So kinda started trip off with a sour taste in my mouth. Getting in car, everything was pretty dirty. Lots of grime, cleaning residue or something. I had to get some wet wipes before even touching the steering wheel. It was pretty bad. Lots of body damage on the car etc. the tires looked okay so I didn’t worry too much about the body damage. Car drive just fine but the check engine light did illuminate after a day or so. Worst part was the windshield wipers were horribly worn and didn’t work well. Could barely see out when raining and it did rain just about 1/2 of the days I used the car during my trip. Lastly, I was pretty clear about my departure time from the airport and when I texted host, they were about 5-10 min behind me. Okay fine. About 28 minutes went by and they hadn’t shown up yet. It was getting close to the point I’d miss my flight so I had to leave the car at passenger drop off. Just as I was checking in, I saw the host pick it up, a good 30 min after they said they’d be there. I’m sure it was just traffic or something but I wish I had just taken it back to the parking garage where I had originally picked up the car. Would have made for a lot less stressful travel experience. I barely made the flight.
