PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT RENT THIS CAR! My reservation on 8/19/2019 was at 2:30 PM. I got a call at 2:07 PM stating do not come to pick up the car because the mechanic hadn’t started working on it and he had to leave for an emergency. I was already en route to the pick up place. When I got the, the man who rents it picked me up and took me home until the mechanic was done. I got a call at 5:43 PM stating he was on his way but didn’t arrive at my house until 7:11 PM. When we got to the mechanic’s shop, the car still wasn’t starting because the wrong spark plugs were put in and fuel had got into the spark plugs. That should’ve been hint number one that I should’ve canceled the rental. He went to go buy a new set of spark plugs for the mechanic to put in. When he arrived back, the mechanic put the spark plugs in and flushed out the fuel that got into the part where the spark plugs were. Mind you, when we first got to the mechanic at 7:30 PM, he stated that the person who had it before messed the car up and the mechanic had to replace the thermostat. I left about 8 something and went to the dollar store before I went home, when I went to get back into the car, it wouldn’t start. Roland had to come to try and start it. It eventually did and I had to drive it back to the shop ONCE AGAIN! I didn’t leave the mechanic shop until 9:30. Before I went home, I stopped at the bank and Roland called so he could put a new coil over the spark plugs. After this I went to put gas in the car and went home. I had to be up at 7 AM on 9/20/2019 to drive up to Maryland for an 9:30 appt. I had an alarm set for 5:45 AM so I could go and see if the car would start which it did. I left my house at about 7:40 AM to head up the road. It took me about two minutes to start the car. I make it up to Maryland and back. I go to my doctors appt at 3 PM by my house and when I was finish, the car wouldn’t start once again. I get it started and go to the gas station to put gas in it before I returned the car. Once I’m done pumping gas, go to start the car, it wouldn’t start. I call Roland and he says it’s going to take him an hour to get there and I told him it was too hot to just sit in a car for an hour. I asked for my money back but he stated since I already put the miles on it that he couldn’t. That he already spent $280 to fix it and that Turo only gave him $22. Overall, this was my first and LAST time renting through Turo. I thought this was suppose to be easier than renting through an mainstream company. Please do not waste your time on renting from him. He also told me he was renting it out on 9/21/2019 at 8 AM. This car needs to be off the website until everything is working correctly. The car overheated, the tire pressure light was on which he said was a sensor, and the engine light was on.
