The trip got off to a bumpy start. John instructed us to pick the car up at passenger pickup #8. This area was nowhere near our arrival terminal. After 20 mins of walking around the airport, asking airport help staff and John we were finally able to get the vehicle at a different pickup area. The car itself is as advertised. Returning the vehicle however was a NIGHTMARE. We agreed to return the vehicle at a gas station close to the airport at John’s request at 9 pm. John didn’t show. We made multiple attempts to reach him including calling and texting, nothing. After 45 minutes we decided to get TURO involved and John got back to us immediately. He then said that he would not be able to pick the vehicle up at the gas station so we had to put it in the airport parking. Our flight left at 11 pm which John was aware of (he had me email the flight itinerary) and we almost missed our flight. John then had the audacity to charge me $25 for a cleaning fee which I am currently disputing. We cleaned the interior of the vehicle and external windows prior to returning it while we were waiting at the gas station. John may reply to this saying he had a family emergency but we were in contact the day of the return up to 7 pm and he mentioned none of the emergency to us but responded immediately to Turo once they were involved and was also able to pick the vehicle up in the airport parking BEFORE our flight departed (this is when I was notified of a cleaning fee). I think instead of having a family emergency he forgot about the agreed upon return location and time and instead of apologizing used an excuse. Look somewhere else to rent.
