First and foremost, if you’ve seen Amy’s other “reviews” take note. She’s cancelled on trips quite a few times it seems and she asked if I wanted to cancel mine, since she had to go out of state for a family emergency. I unfortunately declined the cancellation and decided to still go through with it. She told me since she’d be out of state her friend would have the Jeep ready for us, which I thought was just as well, at least I’d still have a car right? *nervous laughter* So the day I went to pick up the Jeep, I ubered to the location because since she was out of state she couldn’t meet me at the airport. (1st extra cost to me) I got there and looked for the keys, which were said to be somewhere on the car, to no avail. The keys weren’t anywhere to be found, and in my attempt to find them, the alarm went off, which made the situation so THAT much better *sarcasm*. After a few calls/texts back and forth and about half an hour out in the hot, humid parking lot she tells me that her friend left the keys in her apartment and is on Hilo side for the day and that I won’t be able to get the Jeep until later that night. So there went all our plans for the entire day. I was late to my aunties 70th birthday, which we had to Uber to (2nd extra cost). She said she’d refund us for the days use, which is cool. I mean, she couldn’t do much and I understand that, but in hindsight, I wish I would have just cancelled. Dropping off was an ordeal too. In all our original messages about canceling, she said we’d have to PICK UP the Jeep at the new location. She never once said that we wouldn’t be able to drop off the Jeep at the airport in our messages (that are screenshotted, I got the receipts) so after messaging back and forth we just finally decided to give in and just end this hellish ride, leave it on her terms, in the condo parking lot we got it from, and just got an Uber to the airport (3rd extra cost) The refund didn’t come until like a week later, and she sent it via cashapp even though she said she could Venmo and I sent her my Venmo info. So I had to create a cash app profile, which isn’t hard to do, but like... I sent you my Venmo... lol The Jeep beeps like every 5 minutes about some airbag thing, the inside smelled damp and not great. Honestly, just save yourself the trouble and just get a different car. And if you do book it, if she tries to cancel just bless up and cancel.
